It seems that more and more people started to join and play skyblock.net .
This means that more and more people will be applying for mod.
There should be a rule where you can only apply for Mod if you are an active member on the forums.

    Hmm
I was thinking along these lines quite awhile ago that lots of people would make Mod Apps and that lots would be inexperienced etc.

Also, I doubt Cyp would choose someone who isn't active on the forums anyway...

    I like this idea~

No Support, I've seen good apps from people who weren't an "Active Member" on the forums.

I actually only made a forums account to apply for moderator, and now look where I am.

That's just stereotypical, just like how people think greenbeans are bad because most people who break the rules are greenbeans. I like greenbeans more than most donors actually.

Also if the trophy points weren't changed, you would still be a member, so you couldn't make your application. I'm pretty sure you'd be a little pissed.

Now that I think about it, it wouldn't matter. Even active members and non active members can lie. A mod app can be good or bad, made by a new member or active member, it doesn't matter this is like the thread that is somewhere in the suggestions that there should be an age limit for moderator applications. I change my mind, no support.

So if a new member tries to make a mod app, would the forums stop them? Or would it be posted in the pinned information?

I'm thinking some new members may not read the pinned info and make an app unknowingly.

Like if you look under their name it says "New Member" ,but if you unlock "Active Member" Achievement, you unlock the mod application section. :3

Only because active member means nothing. You can get active member for posting like 30 posts and doing nothing for months. Thats how i got active member on mineverse.
Some people make forum accounts to make mod apps then start using the forums. Having a mod app is a good motivation.

^^the truthfulness of this post. It kinda used to mean more as you had to work hard for it and then bam everyone's active member with the trophie points change.

I think there's merit in this suggestion, the idea behind it is that you'd expect a mod to be active on the forums and in game before being considered. I think you should edit the original post a little more expand on your idea.
