Personally, as a loyal Skyblock fan, I have seen much happen on the Skyblock server. Many good things, some bad. Lately, there has been an arising issue of people not able to get help concerning questions or concerns that they have about the server, commands, or staff. A considerable number of questions go unanswered, not because the staff is not helpful, they certainly are very helpful, but that there are not always enough staff online to assist players' needs. As a helpful person, I reach out and assist those who need help, answering their questions and helping them in any way I can, but that isn't always enough. Now, I'm not complaining, because the staff answers most questions and does a fantastic job at helping others, but there is always room for improvement. Many times, I've noticed, people will ignore me or others trying to help because they are not a position of authority on the server or someone who they want to trust. This can be an issue; the server needs more helpful people. Now, I'm not saying to make everyone who wants to help a moderator, that could turn out disastrously. I'm saying to create a rank, in which can be applied for, that is meant specifically for helping others and answering questions. Moderators could focus more on monitoring chat and dealing with other issues (as well as helping people, of course, moderators would still be obligated to help others). This rank would not have access to commands like moderators have, but they would have a specific tag designating them a trustworthy and knowledgeable player, and people could ask them questions and receive a correct, reliable answer. They would also help on the forums. I suggest using a tag such as [Q&A] or [Helper], but I will let the server administrators decide that. Now, I will lay out some criteria for my suggested rank: -Player must me willing to help, no matter how difficult the question. -Player must be extremely knowledgeable in order to answer the question fully and quickly. -Player must be respectful. -Player must be active. -Player must be responsible. -Those chosen should be chosen from a variety of timezones. These "helpers," or what they should be named, could be able to apply just as moderators can, but based on separate criteria. They must prove that they are a creditable source for help, and deserve the rank. Now, I will lay out the suggested abilities of this rank: -Special tag designating that he/she is a creditable source (as suggested above; such as [Q&A] or [Helper]) -Ability to type in colored text (to capture the attention of others). -Possible other abilities (comment your suggestions below, please). To conclude, I must say that I believe that this would benefit the server in many different ways, although this will not at all take away the liberty or responsibility of others, staff or not staff, to not help others. Those not a helper or moderator can still help others, although adding this rank would certainly make the server a more friendly and helpful place. No support. This is literally the mod's job, and regular players can still help. You don't need a title.
No Support, Many normal people can do this and that's part of a Mods responsibility. Its also like explained before is like Trial Mod. There's really no need.
