50 Diamond Writing Competition

The story has to be about 2 people named Boris and Eric.

Mangled toes have been turning up all over Ireland and the inhabitants are scared. Ten murders in ten weeks, all committed with a glock 18, and still nobody has a clue who the salty killer is.

Boris R. L. is a strong and smart actor with a fondness for kite flying. He doesn't know it yet but he is the only one who can stop the mean killer.

When his grandfather, Phil Raymond, is kidnapped, Boris L. finds himself thrown into the centre of the investigation. His only clue is a bendy backpack.

He enlists the help of a kind doctor called Eric.
Can L. help L. overcome his cocaine addiction and find the answers before the smelly killer and his deadly glock 18 strike again?

Boris looked at the stripy sandwich in his hands and felt sad.

He walked over to the window and reflected on his creepy surroundings. He had always loved wild Cape Town with its harsh, hissing Houses. It was a place that encouraged his tendency to feel sad.

Then he saw something in the distance, or rather someone. It was the figure of Eric . Eric was a generous patient with ample arms and fragile eyebrows.

Boris gulped. He glanced at his own reflection. He was an optimistic, hilarious, squash drinker with pretty arms and scrawny eyebrows. His friends saw him as a grated, glamorous god. Once, he had even made a cup of tea for a grim old lady.

But not even an optimistic person who had once made a cup of tea for a grim old lady, was prepared for what Eric had in store today.

The moon shone like boating badgers, making Boris afraid.

As Boris stepped outside and Eric came closer, he could see the homeless smile on his face.

"I am here because I want Revenge," Eric bellowed, in a rude tone. He slammed his fist against Boris's chest, with the force of 320 rats. "I frigging hate you, Boris ."

Boris looked back, even more afraid and still fingering the stripy sandwich. "Eric, I am gonna kill you," he replied.

They looked at each other with grumpy feelings, like two disturbed, different dogs sleeping at a very understanding funeral, which had orchestral music playing in the background and two articulate uncles thinking to the beat.

Suddenly, Eric lunged forward and tried to punch Boris in the face. Quickly, Boris grabbed the stripy sandwich and brought it down on Eric's skull.

Eric's ample arms trembled and his fragile eyebrows wobbled. He looked violent, his body raw like a rabblesnatching, real record.

Then he let out an agonising groan and collapsed onto the ground. Moments later Eric was dead.

Boris went back inside and made himself a nice beaker of squash.
