Welcome to ForgotPassword’s application!

Before you start reading I would like to tell a bit of myself. My name is Albin and I live in Sweden. When I'm not playing skyblock I'm usually hanging out with my friends and just mess around.

My in game name is ForgotPassword, but I'm actually not that irresponsible!


What timezone are you in?
My timezone is UTC+2

Some of you might think that is bad, that I don’t live in the USA where most of the players live. I think the opposite. I think it’s good that someone from Europe but still not in the same zone as England becomes a moderator as there is just a few. And when they are online, they are too busy.

What languages do you speak?

First of all, I speak Swedish as that is my native language. And this is good if you ask me, just earlier today I talked to some Swedish person and other started joining our conversation. I found out like 8 players totally were from Sweden.

Swedish is pretty similar to a lot of languages all over the world (especially in Europe). That’s why I also know Norwegian and Danish plus a little bit of Finish. In school, I study French mainly, but I do know a few words of German and Chinese and of course some Spanish.


Do you have 2FA enabled?
Yes, I do! I think this is really important for a moderator. To be honest, I didn’t have it before, but now I do!


Do you have the necessary means of capturing evidence?
I have got some recording programs (QuickTime player, OBS) but they often take too much time to launch. That’s why I’ve programmed my mouse to take a screenshot if I click on one of the hot keys.

That means I will be able to get proof instant when needed. Also, when I become a moderator, I will access logblock that will help me get the evidence. I know some other ways to get proof as well, for example, simple commands as /near to see if there is an invisible player waiting to steal dropped items in a trade.


Why do I personally think I should become a moderator.

Well, I spend my life on skyblock. Literally. I know everything that’s worth to know about this server and moderate it. And I do know all the rules and commands etc. But that isn’t all.

I can offer more than just that. I can offer to prevent people from breaking the rules.

Many of you may think, how can I do that?

Well, to answer that question I could say that I’ve spoken to many people I’ve seen appealing on the forum and almost all of them agree with me and I’ve convinced them to stop breaking the rules. To take care of the problem in an early phase prevents them from continuing with breaking the rules.
That is as important, it will make the moderating much easier and the community much more interested or all.


I've noticed something strange, that even if we got a lot of moderators. They aren't online when they are needed. And when a moderator comes online, everyone needs them. They've told me themselves that they are too busy to take care of smaller cases as checking logs and forum.


I will make sure to be online and take care of both small and big cases. And deal with server problems such as spammers, hackers, player issues, advertisers, and much more. Even though I'm most passionate about scamming.


I also want to point that my mission is to make the community a better place for everyone, and not just ban and kick persons plus help in chat sometimes. I will be that mod you can talk to whenever you feel like. Also, I will deal with other’s needs upon mine to make sure everyone gets the most pleasant time as possible here on Minecraft's best server of all time. Because that is the head point of the server and why people plays it. To have fun.


How active can you be every day?

I’m one of the most active players on the server. The time varies thought. For example, if it’s holiday then I’m usually online 6-8 hours. When school I’m online around 4 hours everyday. Nothing is set in stone and I will of course not always live up to this amount of time. This will variate as I said before. Also, I don’t know my schedule for the next period so I can’t be too sure for the moment. Will update as soon as possible, though.


How long have you been playing Skyblock?

This question has got two answers. I’ve played this server for nearly 1 year. But if I would answer in hours, or days that would make a much higher response on the question. Definitely over 1000 hours in total. Of course, I haven’t count the time but this amount is realistic in my opinion.


Have you ever been banned in the past?

Well, yes I have. When I was new I started scamming. I found out that I could boost my economy by stealing from others. I've always known that it was wrong but I hid it inside.

I regret it all now but try to turn it into something good instead. I don't mean scamming is something good but there are a few things that could be useful as a moderator. First of all, how to make them stop scamming.

Also, how scammers think. Overall having some experience on the opposite side as well.


I can't turn back the time, even if I wish. What's done is done. All I can do is helping people to not do the same mistake. I want the opportunity to have the authority to warn these players or ban them so other skyblock players can have an amazing time and enjoy themselves, instead of leaving the server because of these certain players who make it less fun for the people who actually want to play by the book and enjoy without sabotage for anyone else.


If anyone wants to know exactly what I've been banned for, how and why. Than just PM me and I will send over all the information because I don’t have anything to hide!


Do you have any past experience as a moderator?

No, I don’t have any experience as a moderator. Except the fact that I’ve studied server mods for a long time. What I do have is the ability to surprise myself. For example, 4 years ago. I couldn’t even say a single word in English. My teachers and parents were worried. I didn’t care about school either.

In that moment I decided to change, so I did. Now I got the top grade in almost every subject. Including English which I’m able to speak fluently. This is just one example of my extraordinary “gift”. But won’t bore you people with that right now.


Do you meet the requirements for staff?

That's not up to me to decide. But in my opinion then yes, I do.

Everyone can make the basic, like being a mini mod, knowing the rules or how logblock works etc. But I have two things that the other may not have!

• The ability to prevent people breaking the rules
• Knowledge of a past "criminal"

About me being a past “criminal” may seem bad in your eyes. You might not think I should be a moderator just because of that.

But as said earlier, I can’t go back in time. Even if I want to. That’s why I’m trying to show my faithfulness and loyalty to this server. Also, I want to bring it the glory it deserves. To do this I will need help. I need your help to support this appeal and support other out there. It won’t be easy but I will try my best to hold back people bringing this server down and sabotage for us.

Experienced.
I haven't played for a long time but still know a lot more than I need to know for the moment. That doesn't mean have learned everything. I still learning as everyone else, even the most experienced supermoderator. Experience is the most important things to know if you ask me. It’s the experience that makes us able to help. Also, experience comes by time. You can’t just get experience instantly. You have to earn it, by playing and study.

Time is irrelevant in this thought. Just because you have played for a very long time doesn’t mean you are smarter than someone who just played for 6 months. Sure, time is a factor of gaining knowledge. My point is, everyone can have experience. It’s up to the person if they want to receive it.

I’ve made that decision and chose to accept it. I couldn’t wait. Ever since that, as soon as I don’t have the answer I read everything about it I can find. If I still can’t find it I won’t give up. To not know is terrible, I don’t want anyone to feel that. That’s why I do like to share information with everyone who wants it.



Friendly.
I love making new friends. You can never have too many friends! I always say hi to people and trying to be as politely as possible. I love to speak with new people in conversations and this is one of the reasons I want to become a mod. To talk with people and help them at the same time!

Once in awhile, I lose people close to me. If that happen I will always try to fix it. Having an enemy just leads to bad things. If there is anyone reading this that don’t like me and even might hate me. Please message me so we can solve it. Not to vaunt but I’m pretty good at it. That is a really good speciality that has helped me in a lot of tough times.



Multitasking
I'm able to do a lot of things at the same time. To do this I've bought 3 screens so I can keep an eye on forums while I play the server and help new player as I listen to music. My old art teacher used to say that girls were better at performing multiple actions at the same times, while boys just can do one thing. This made me upset and I wanted to prove her wrong. When I look back I think it was just a way to make us work even harder but it still helped me with this point.



Forgiving
I'm a very forgiving human. As I myself have done many mistakes I've learned that it's natural. If you don't do wrong then you're not a real person. Then you're a robot. It doesn't take any long time either for me to get over something. But this won't have a bad impact on my moderation. I don’t drop it totally but love to give people a second chance. Because people can change. I’m a living proof of that. I do even believe in people performing even more dramatic thing than I did. If I get the honour to represent this server I would rule it with one golden rules. “We should promote freedom rather than set traps.”. Because I do rather err on the side of caution.



Understanding
I am very good at understanding and reading people. I try to set myself in their position and give them my full attention. Try to figure out what they are going through. I don't judge people either for a race, gender, age, religion etc. I also respect people and their different way to see things.

For me, it's just fun to hear what other is thinking. That is actually one of the funniest things to do. Argue friendly about different opinions and get to know other persons. I don’t mind sitting whole day listen to other. I believe this is important. People could have a tough day, t
his isn’t a reason to do wrong but still understandable. It’s a difference between understanding people and spare but still want to calm down and try to solve it.



Unbiased
Everyone should have the same rights, no matter what rank or religions they have! And I also want to hear both parts before taking an action. Everyone should be given a chance to prove that they haven’t done wrong if they have been banned or going to. I will do my best to have my personal feelings outside this kind of stuff but this is impossible. Even professional judiciaries fail with this. I can’t get rid of my feeling but I can promise to do my best.



Mature
I think I'm very mature. I won't freak out at people and handle things wrong. I know when to be mature, and I can handle serious matters. I take offensive jokes seriously. This does not mean I can’t have fun because I can, and will. Writing this very long application might be enough proof. If I wasn’t taking this seriously than I wouldn’t have spend hours of making this.


Helpful
This is one of the most important parts as a moderator. And I think I'm extremely helpful! When I help people, it makes me happy. When people get scammed, I give them items to help them out. When people ask questions, I answer them fully and thoughtfully.
I help people out with their issues and try to keep them safe from ‘bad’ players. I'm not lazy and will do whatever I have to get help them as good as possible. If I can't get the information needed I will ask around to make sure their needs will get solved.

Honest
Lying doesn't solve anything. It just breaks you apart. I've learned that the hard way and don't want to go through that once again. If I do something wrong I will admit it. This is also very important as a moderator. To win people's trust. Because else none is going to believe you and your word won't be worth anything. I appreciate when people is honest back because that means they care and want to solve whatever the problem is. I do like to help them.


Contactable
This is a thing I don’t think any other moderator is or will offer to the people. I’ve got a lot of social medias such as kik and snap etc. I will have public those just for skyblock so people will be able to get a moderator when needed. Also, I’ve already given away my phone number so people just have to call and I will hopefully be able to help directly. Over all of this I’ve got skype plus teamspeak so I can participate in moderator meetings or sometimes even help people thought that kind of apps.


Responsible
I think I'm very responsibility when it all matters. This is important as well as a moderator. To stand for your action and don't try to hide it or blame it on someone. Blaming other people will never get me anywhere because I need to learn from my mistakes. By doing this my experience will degrees much higher that I ever would have been else.
I’d take this all serious and will dedicate all my time to perform what I’ve promised in this application, whatever I get the rank or not. Because after all, it’s just a rank.
And it isn’t the rank that does the work, it’s me. The rank is just a tool to help others.

It’s sad that so many people applicate just because it’s cool being a mod. I’d like to point that I’m not searching for glory in any form. I’m searching for authority to actually help someone.

As of what I've seen of you in game, I think despite your unfortunate ban history you have the capacity to become a mature and trustworthy moderator. I know many will no-support this because of what they see of you in chat; alternatively your past bans, but I think everyone deserves to show that they can change, and I believe that you can change just if you want to, and personally I think you have changed over the time we've spent together.

I will support this because I think you can reach anything you want, you just have to work hard for it.

Also, when I had written everything it was up to 18k characters. The maximum was 15k. I removed as much as possible until I was down at 14,5k. But I still couldn't post it. Sorry for doing this! Just thought that everything left was necessary for you guys to know who I am

Seems legit.
I had an unfortunate event w/ ForgotPassword, I accused him of scamming, though there was possibilities of possible hackers or who knows what could of interfered w/ out deal.
Anyways, I later realised what I did, yet my loss, was not correct. I should of only accused with 100% valid proof, considering the strange chances of hackers interfering.
I later decided to say sorry for my attitude towards him, he took it all well and he ended up confessing his mistake.
He is forgiving, and ends up quite mature, I give support gl
