You downloaded them wrong. They both work, and I've never had an issue with them. If you want try Imgur: The most awesome images on the Internet, it allows you to post the images and send the link to them, but clicking the image URL or Image Location and what not. Are you talking about images from minecraft, like screenshots, how to access that folder with them?
If you're trying to post images from the Internet you can just drag and drop. Also this should be in the help section. larrythebird101 LimeCoconutShake
Go to your start menu, and type in the search "run". Click on "run" and then type in "%appdata%", then click "OK". Once you've done that a file should have opened. In that file you will see a folder named ".Minecraft". Open that folder. Once you've opened up the ".Minecraft" folder look for a folder that says "Screenshots", open it. After that you can click and drag the image to your downloads and upload it to Imgur: The most awesome images on the Internet or screenshot it with: Lightshot — screenshot tool for Mac & Win or Gyazo - Welcome to Gyazo: The Easiest Way to Capture Your Screen and screenshot the image(s).
I use the %Appdata% thing, after clicking the "Upload a File" Button, and click the image/drag over the image group I want to upload.
