There is this thing called pwnfltr. We have it. We use it. And yes there is a time when people accidentally cuss. I am not the one with an illogical argument. I didn't come on here to bad mouth how our mods work. Every mod works different. Maybe you should rethink about how you phrase things, because it sounds like you would rather join other servers than stay on here. If you knew about the thing called everyone is different, that means that your brain may not make accidental cuss words come out. I have accidentally cussed in chat. I was warned. I said sorry. You learn from your mistakes. I have only done it one time. There are times that people do it on purpose, yes, but putting the blame on everyone who does it, and it was an accident, automatically means that you deserve every punishment possible. You have illogical reasoning in this that if you say as little as one word, that all mods should ban you for life.
"Of course it's not going to be well constructed" Do you want something done or are you just going to prove my point that you are making a pointless rant.
I'm just going to point out a few things here, 1. What you think is a warning might not be a warning: -There's things like past records that apply to determining a punishment. -Some people might be people who never do anything wrong and just slip a swear out once when they were feeling attacked. That's is not acceptable but will be more overlooked than someone who has a past record of bans and/or mutes. 2. Our staff team is fine the way it is (Besides a few inactive mods): -If there was an issue with a staff member they would either be warned, demoted, or banned. Cyp thought these members would do a good job at moderating the server so they must be doing something right. -Every staff member has different ways of punishing players, they all enforce the rules but some do it different than others may. If everybody moderated the same way, the staff team might as well be one person. Its the diversity that often makes the staff team function better. Disagreements can often open doors to bettering a team. 3. Mods most likely were popular at some point: -Who is more likely to get a spot on the staff team, someone who people see helping or someone people don't ever see in-game? What I'm trying to say is, a person who gets promoted in most cases knows a lot of people in the community and a lot of people know them, that's doesn't mean they are bias towards them in any way. 4. You never know when someone is getting reprimanded: -If mods reprimand people in /msg how would you know that they are getting in trouble or not?
Fake reporting? Anyone in the staff team can easily differ the differences between forged evidence, and actual evidence. You always need screenshots that shows that they have actually broken the rules. If you couldn't care less, you might as well just lock this thread since it's quite a useless one. Or almost. (Since you couldn't care less.) If you think the rules are absolutely the worst, file a complaint to Noobcrew or CypriotMerks Doing this won't make a change unless the admin/owner sees it. Even if they did, I can guarantee that nothing is going to be changed. As Krissy said, if you don't like it, you can either leave, or live with it.
For some of the things said, you do have a point, but they are not all entirely true. There are some of us like arrowflint, CJ_Plays_Games, and I who are greenies that do see some of the things that the donors say, but they do get warned for some of those. It's not fair for some people to get banned immediately, since everyone deserves another chance, but I guess it's your opinion. All the mods punish people differently, so you can't call us biased. The moderators were all greenies here once, and they all had to work their way up the ladder. Even if you think the server rules don't make sense, and you can "care less" then why make this thread? It's not going to change anything. If a rule doesn't make sense, then many people would agree that it doesn't make sense and vote it out. The current rules seems to be okay, and the admin also changed the rules a little from before as well, so I really don't see your point. The mods are promoted, based on what others say, so it's coming from many people's POV. If a mod is being rude, or inactive, then they will most likely get demoted. If you don't like what we do here, then find another server to play on, or just deal with it. I might sound harsh, but that's just how some things are sometimes.
Why do people think that everything should be sugar coated and if you're speaking from your perspective of reality or just saying the reality of something, that person can be labeled as an a*****e. Or other terms. Jeez, IMO words are words, people need to grow up.
I really agree with one part of your thread. The one stating that the moderators talk about things that children should not see themselves, but they mute/ban if someone else says it. No offense, but a VERY big example is krissy. She talks about booty, a** etc. a LOT with the "popluar" people, but if someone not so popluar talks about the same things they get punished. This is really unfair, and people, especially cypriotmerks should look into it. It's impossible to be a little biased, but some moderators are being terribly biased, which is really unfair towards the "lower class" people. I suggest this gets changed.
I also agree with this. The general system is: Skygods > donors > greenies. As said, this sucks and moderators should be warned too.
About the false reporting thing....You are actually quite mistaken. Even the staff from the largest servers sometimes accept false reports. Anyways, the issue doesn't really affect me, I'm just putting my opinion out there for people to read, decide, and judge for themselves if this is true. One of my points exactly ^^^
Large servers? I get that you're taking examples, but things here work differently. There's a couple cases of false reporting using selective screenshots, and most were denied.
I left this game a couple months ago however I agree with this. Mods are somewhat biased and they started being really controlling. I understand it's your job guys but maybe it's time to lighten up? I've never had any problems with mods but still...
Imo the server is a place to hang out and have fun after school, not a place to be strict like in school so enforcing the rules while giving a leeway is the best
