So. I've made this thread before, as you may know, last year, but since the forums grew quite a bit, and my love of music, I'm making this thread again! So here's how we'll do this since I forgot how to make polls haha. If you wish to participate, please comment what types of instrument(s) you play, such as Brass (Trumpet, French horn, trombone, etc) Strings (Violin, guitar, ukulele, cello, etc) Percussion (drums, marimba, xylophone, etc) Woodwind (clarinet, flute, oboe, bassoon, etc Chordophone (piano, and other than that idk tbh, but probably etc) Other (harmonica, probably didgeridoo, singing, beatboxing, etc) None And in about 3 weeks, if a moderator allows this thread to last hahaha, I will take the amounts of votes and put them in a post, and have a moderator lock up the thread! And just for fun, and for people to read, not only would I love for you to comment what type of instrument you play, I'd LOVE for you to comment what instrument(s) you play!! NOTE: Each instrument one person plays will not count as a point for the type of instrument. For example, if you play 4 woodwinds, woodwinds gets one point. I actually go to an advanced school for music (and math). Since last year I've learned more instruments! To list all of them I play piano, guitar, ukulele, trombone, double-bass, bassoon, trumpet, I sing, harmonica, flute, alto saxophone, and tenor saxophone! (I play woodwinds, brass, strings, and chordophone.) Thanks, and have fun!!
Instruments I can play: -Strings: Violin, electric/Guitar, chello, bass, harp. I guess I'd be able to play a ukulele too. -Percussion: drums, xylophone, triangle, tambourne. -Woodwind: Flute. -Other: harmonica, didgeridoo, piano, singing. I play a lot of music instruments since I've been learning how to since I was very little, I'm self taught for most of the instruments.
Piano(Marimba, Clav, Vibraphone, Xylophone, Organ and any instrument with a Piano layout really), Guitar, Drums, the triangle(ting) and the Recorder(Although, I'm pretty sure everyone and anyone can play this). I know it's not an instrument but I Beatbox decently - just putting that out there EDIT: Super duper old Piano video - I've improved a ton but yeah, this exists for those interested:
I play the uke! It's my main instrument and normally try to accomplish pieces like this: Of course that was done with effects pedals...that I kinda don't have. It's my dream job that I am working toward! Besides the uke, I can kinda play Piano, Guitar, Bass (Ordered from most knowledge to least) Hoping to get an album out soon actually, like no joke. WAY harder than it sounds, though. Lol
Ewwww I play alto saxophone. I also play Trumpet, trombone, tenor sax, clarinet, flute, guitar, viola, bit of cello, piano, percussion, recorder and I sing quite a bit. So realistically I play, woodwind, brass, percussion, chordophone, strings and 'others'
Amazing!! Very good! The video is quite nice, and yeah albums are very very hard. I had to write one song for school, and it took me a month and it sucked. Worst grade ever received. I can't imagine making an album, if making one song is so hard. Respect to you! Good luck!! Nice variety going there hahaha Trombone is very cool! Unique too, which is a good thing of course! Beat boxing is really cool. I have tried, and failed miserably hahaha so I'm hoping to give it another try when I know how to do it better.. But I'm gonna add beatboxing and singing to other, everyone!
Love flute!! Stay with it, and practice! also random but, make sure to have the experience in a trio consisting of a flute, guitar, and violin. I've done it, and it was amazing. It was like tavern music I think.. Sounded kinda colonial. Idk it was very fun. Or I'm crazy.. But I was flute player in it! The experience is amazing if you love music as much as me.
