Can't place rails anymore?

I can't place any regular rails and can't repair my minecart system... Why?

 

Rails are disabled due to rail duping

 

but rail duping isn't around anymore with the new update

 

Any mods/admins want to explain? Because I don't understand

 

Rail duping may be disabled, but people might of duped thousands of rails pre 1.8, that and for hopper minecart grieving

You can't place blocks on someone else's island anymore

 

still possible, just more difficult. Plus if the person is allowed to place blocks, they will still be able to loot a chest. I doubt they will get re-added.

 

Please explain how it's possible, especially since hoppers are disabled.

 

Hoppers are disabled due to a duplication glitch.

 

That doesn't answer the original part of the post, for what reason is the placement of rails disabled?

 

If you disable placement of rails, there's no point in duplicating them. Therefore, rail placement is disabled.

 

Because you can duplicate them.

 

I'm pretty sure this is fixed in this update

 

So should this be locked then?

The reason you cannot place rails is because if you can't place them because of their main purpose, there is no point in duplicating them. They're disabled because it destroys the whole reason of duplicating them in the first place.

 

Rails should be enabled now then.

 

They can't be duplicated anymore though..

 

Then cyp needs to enable them back if they can't be duped anymore.
