Hello. I'm Adrian_Monk_.
I've been playing Skyblock for over two years. I started playing in July of 2013, and I joined the forums in April of 2014. I have been active on and off since then. I have seen a lot on this server, and I'd like to help make a difference. I enjoy helping players on the server, and being a mod will help me do that.

Which languages do you speak?
I speak English and bit of Latin. (I know Latin is useless in this case, but I thought I'd mention it) I learned Russian over the summer. I am now conversant in Russian, and I can read and write in Cyrillic (the Russian alphabet)

Have you ever been banned? (if yes, why?)
I have been banned, but I was quickly unbanned. My coop partner had an item from before it became illegal. I (like an idiot) wanted to test something with it, but I was caught with it, and the item was confiscated. I was quickly unbanned because the item wasn't mine, and I will not repeat my mistake.

Why do you think you should be a mod?
I'd like to be a mod so I can help players on the server. I answer questions in chat, and I help players in private messages too. I feel that a mod should really care about the players and the quality of the server. If they don't, then the server will fall apart. I like the current staff team, and I would like to be a part of it. Sometimes I see someone in chat who is spamming or using profanity, and though I will tell them not to do so. I can't enforce it, and they continue to do it. I see that quite often there are no mods on, and I would like to fill in those gaps by donating a part of my time to the server on which I have met so many wonderful people.

. I am active.
I can be on the server quite often which is good for a moderator because a mod needs to be active to do their job. If I do have another commitment that will make it so I can be on less for a short period of time, I will of course give notice to this fact so that people will know I won't be on.​

. I don't like drama or gossip.
I won't talk behind people's backs or spread rumors. I also verify all my information so I know it's accurate. One of the rules is that mods are not allowed to instigate fights. I will not start fights. I like to try and finish them. One tactic that is useful for ending fights is humor. If people are fighting, then making them laugh generally will put them in a better mood. This is useful for diffusing a situation. Sometimes a situation is serious enough though that humor is not a good way to fix it. This does not happen often on the internet however. I have only ever truly gotten mad at someone on the internet a couple of times.​

. I know the server.
I've been around for a couple years so I know how the server works. I know the rules, I know the prices of items, and I know how the server trading system works. I know that the price of grass/diamonds has nothing to do with the rules, but I can help players that ask questions about it none the less. Knowing the rules allows me to answer players' questions when they are unsure about something or I can stop them from breaking the rules if they don't know that something is illegal. If I were to become mod, knowing the rules is an obvious necessity because I would need to enforce them. I see a lot of players in chat asking questions or trying to trade buckets. I like to help them out if I can, but being a mod would allow me to help others more easily.​

. I'm good at being as unbiased as possible (human nature being what it is no one is completely unbiased)
I am very good at looking at both sides of an argument and accepting that both are right regardless of my personal opinion. This can help me solve disputes and end arguments because I can look at things from a more unbiased way. I am not afraid to admit if I'm wrong and ask for help. I really am okay with being wrong, and if I do realize I'm wrong, I apologize immediately start trying to fix my mistake. I care more about making a situation work than I do about being right. If something is important, I don't want to get bogged down is who is wrong or right. I just want to make sure things run smoothly. I will not however change my opinion just because someone tells me to do so. I always look at the evidence and make a logical decision based off of it. I can often present my opinions in a very strong manner. I do need to work on tact more in situations where it matters, but I'm not generally trying to be mean or put other peoples' opinions down. I just enjoy arguing/debating when the outcome doesn't matter.​

. I can remain cool under pressure.
I understand that this is a just a game, and my real life is way more stressful. I assume most people's life is. I won't simply quit because it gets hard. I will continue to do my job. The chat can move pretty quickly sometimes which is ok because I can read fast enough to keep up. I can generally type fast enough to keep up even though I type with two fingers. I can type at a normal speed, but those of you on ts have probably heard very loud typing noises when I have to type something quickly.​

. I enjoy helping people.
Being a mod would help me do that more easily. I like to help in chat, and I like to give players obsidian and iron if they lost their lava or grass if they got scammed. Being a mod would allow me to help more easily because I could do more than just answer questions and give out obsidian. I don't discriminate. I don't care about what gender you are or if a player is a donor or a greenbean. We are all people, and I will not give priority to anybody. If you need help, I will give it, and if you broke a rule, I will respond accordingly. I always answer if someone private messages me no matter who they are or what they want. (Unless I'm afk) This can get annoying, but I believe it is necessary because everyone deserves to be heard.​

. I'm good at compartmentalizing.
What someone does in a work situation will not affect my opinion of them as a person and vice versa. This also means that I am perfectly fine with banning a friend if they broke the rules and still remaining friends with them. I'm also perfectly fine with being friends with someone that I disagree with. I actually like being around people with different ideas than me. It gives me a chance to really discuss them and learn and grow more as a person. That doesn't mean that my opinion changes. In fact it generally means that my opinion becomes stronger and so does my argument because I know where the other person is coming from. It does mean that I can help them better because I can understand their situation even though I disagree with them.​

. I can deal with people from different cultures.
I spent this past summer in a different country, (Russia), and I had to deal with a completely different culture. It was interesting, and I know how to look at something from someone else's perspective and keep an open mind. This is important for a moderator because they need to be able to look at situations from the players' perspective. Also I like people from different cultures than mine. This can be helpful considering the fact that there are people on this server from many different cultures.​

. I am friendly
I am an extrovert so I like people. I try to be nice to people and make sure that they are doing ok. I care about other people a lot, and even if my initial instinct about someone isn't good, I still will assume that they are a good person unless I observe actual evidence that they aren't. Essentially innocent until proven guilty. This is important for a moderator because they can't just assume someone did something without actual evidence. Even if they don't act on their assumption directly, their opinion will still color their actions and they way they handle the player.​

How long can you be active on the server every day?
Anywhere between 1 and 8 hours a day. I can average about three or five hours on the weekdays, and I can be on about five or six hours a day on the weekends during school. During the summer, I can be on longer than that, but it depends on which part of the summer. Here is a schedule I can be on on a normal school week.

. Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday I can be on sporadically from 7 am eastern to 11 am eastern, and I can be on from about 8 pm until between 10:30 and 11 pm

. On Wednesday I can be on only from about 8:00 pm until about 10:30 pm.

. On Friday I can be on from about 8:00 pm until between 12:00 and 1:00 pm

. On Saturday I can be on anywhere between 4 pm and 12 or 1 am depending on the week. On Sunday I can be on anywhere between 12 pm and 11 pm depending on the week.

I have ballet from 1:00 to 8:00 pm every weekday and from 10:00 to 5:00 on Saturdays. I will almost never be on at those times.

These are the times I can and can't be online. This does not mean that I would be online every time that I have available. I have friends irl and things that come up. I will try to be on the server between 1 and 3 hours on the weekdays and between 1 and 6 hours on the weekends.

Do you have any past experience as a moderator?
Yes. I recently have become a helper on a small factions server plus I own my own small private modded server. I have not been staff on a server as big as skyblock however, and I believe I am ready.

A little about myself:
I am in my mid-late teens. (No one on here knows for sure how old I am, and I'm going to keep it that way.) I live away from home so I can pursue my passion which is dance. I love cats (I have four of them). Outside of dance I love music and science. In my freetime I play computer games with my friends from back home so I can remain in contact with them. I'm friendly (most of the time), and I'm very social, and I love reading. Because I now live away from my friends and my free time consists of a couple of hours late at night, I don't have much of a social life any more. I am an extrovert so it is important to me to have some interaction with people during my free time, and I have been able to have some sort of social life when I am away from home through this server, and I would like to help it continue to run smoothly.

I'm glad you submitted the application. As I said before you posted it it looks very well. Its not always about Details its about Honesty and Activity. Be active, be Nice, be helpful. Anyone can punish, but not too many can actually diffuse a situation.

I think you could grow well as a Tmod with proper Guidance from the senior mods like DarkStar , I give you my support Adrian.
