Fixing Inactivity of Staff Members

Half the mods accidentally have their /afk on without knowing it.

Nevertheless, Support.

We need this, so badly. Kick some inactive mods to promote new mods and see where it goes. 100% Support

 

That's just a glitch with it on .Net idk why but I noticed that, and they don't have it turned on. /afk disables itself the second you move or chat, so you can't just leave it on by accident.

But sure support. If it could just be for mods though that would be nice. Might cause more lag on a big server like .Net.

 

/afk is my enemy. ._.

I leave it on, and forget to turn it off, but I am still active, just when someone messages, they tell me, xD

 

I wonder just how well things would go if all inactive mods were actually demoted...

 

i can see this working alongside another essential..... afk

it warns you when you are about to go afk, (1 min) and either turns you afk or disconnects you from the server. i cant see why mods cant just move 1 block or do something to remain active.

the afk essential and this bukkit would be very usefull.

I did /seen just fine, but that's not what I wanted to respond. We tried an afk kicker on .net. It's very resource consuming as it has to keep tick counts for EVERY player that is on on EVERY single tick to see if they've moved or done a command. Even then, essentials afk is terrible and I often find myself getting afk kicked even if I'm talking in chat and doing commands.

 

i see your point. i have seen the afk kicker used on servers with many more people online at a time than skyblock, which is why i suggested it.
Although, as i said, it wont hurt anyone to just move 1 block or place/break/hit something every so often.

 

There are afk pools where you move endlessly

 

It's not really going to "fix" anything to be fair...

It's just going to show us how much time one spends on the server. Which, most of are inactive staff have reasons.

I don't support this because I see no point in it.
We know he's inactive, and Cyp eventually see's that too, that's why we had a few demotions take place not that long ago.
It's a great plug-in, but it's pointless in my opinion, we don't need it.

 

Just do a monthly vote/survey and rank the mods on a scale from 0 (never saw them) to 10 (always on when i log on) and rank them. After that do a vote on the last couple of them that mostly got 0s and 1s and if voted yes, demote them. Ez pz

 

That's the problem with you people, "Cyp eventually sees" yes, and "eventually" the holocaust was over. If you're really just going to slack off and leave everything until the last minute why give feedback to somebody who is actually trying to improve the server?

 

Like I said, we don't need it.

 

This is so needed, it may also cause some staff to be active globally, myself included.

 

You should know better though. ._.

I should (and essentially do) but this has no cons at all, unless of course you fear of becoming inactive.
