New update to the report/ban appeal sections

It's a good idea but you may have the same report spammed 10 times, or the reporter may not have enough evidence but you do and you need to add it.

Personally, I prefer the old formatting. I support the idea of making appeals and reports more convenient for staff members to handle, but appeals and reports should be public. Not only do people like to read them, but they act as the court of law for these servers. Court cases are open for public view. Also, when players try to put all of their appeal responses in hidden content, they are usually told off for that reason. I've seen this happen before.

If someone reported you, in most situations it wouldn't prove particularly difficult to figure out who filed the report, even if it wasn't open for public view. If issues are caused because someone reported an offence, the staff could handle that. Just ban the account.

If I was to have made changes myself, I would have kept reports and appeals public, but don't give normal users permission to respond unless they have been given it by staff specifically for reasons of involvement or prescence of evidence. You could request permission to respond by PMing the banning mod and asking for it. It would be like having a thread locked to everyone but staff and the reporter/banned member, plus anyone who has been given sufficient privileges to respond.

I don't think the new formatting isn't atrocious, I just think it could be done better. Feel free to argue with me all you want, however.

What if you are directly related to the ban?

 

Or what if you are like me and might have pertinent info on an appeal. I helped with 2 in the past week to begin with.
