8. Why do you think you should be unbanned? I think I should be unbanned because not only is this ridiculous, but there is an actual common law that states that "for only two blocks, max you do is one day temp ban". I think the reason I was banned was because "rg367s" got upset because we had an argument before and was looking for an excuse to get me banned. I will say it again, not only is this ridiculous, it is also poor execution of moderator power.

First off let me say that the fact that me and many others didn't like what you were saying in chat had nothing to do with your ban. I got you banned because you griefed my island, plain and simple. When you asked to teleport to me I assumed it was to apologize or to settle the argument, but instead you just ran around my island for 2 minutes opening every single chest you could (Im guessing you took something of mine as well) and then you posted the signs. You had no right to place those signs on the island and I found them in bad taste and offensive. You may say that it is "only 2 signs" but I believe that everyone should abide by the rules. No one is allowed to grief anybodys island without permission. And if were quoting rules, here is cyp's rules on griefing:

Rule 1: No griefing!Offence Level: High
This is the number rule of every single server. Unfamiliar with the term, like spellcheck is? Griefing is the changing of one's property that you have no rights to. Still not get it? Griefing is where you take/place/move blocks that are not your own or you do not have permission to.

This clearly counts as griefing, as the rules clearly state. I bear no ill will against you, I just thought I should put in my side of the story.

 

Ok, so of course I'll take into account how minor the grief was. However, you still altered another players property, which is illegal. Also, "ps EBOLA" wasn't exactly tactful as:

A) we've been trying to cut down the Ebola talk on the server

B) some people are extremely worried about it, so going around to an island of someone you don't even know and labeling randomly on their island EBOLA isn't a great idea

And finally, what made you think that you could place them on his island without his permission in the first place?

This ban is now only about the placing of the signs.


And yes my post is allowed because I have evidence related to the ebola portion of this ban.

 

The grief was yes extremely minor. That is going to be my main topic of discussion now. However the fact that you "assumed it was to apologize or to settle the argument" is not my problem. You should know of all people not to accept random tpa's, also on top the fact that I had permission to look around the island because you stated you had a shop in chat and were inviting random people. (I looked around the chest to see if these were shop chests). Yes I understand that placing 2 signs is against the rules, but the subject matter of those two signs does not break any rules, as discussed previously. The fact that you, "found them in bad taste and offensive" is irrelevant.

The fact of the matter is I placed two signs on an island without permission. This is breaking the first rule of skyblock. however the broad interpretation of the rule led to a common law that, "for only 2 blocks, max you do is a one day tempban".

 

I said that I had a shop WEBSITE. So yeah anybody can go and see that. Maybe if you weren't clogging up chat with ebola talk you would have noticed that detail. And even if I had a shop it does not give you permission to wander around my island to your hearts content. The fact that they were in bad taste is relevant because it is innapropriate and frankly quite rude. And it was more than just two blocks, you opened the chests and I have also noticed many things missing. Now stop with your made up "common law" rules.

 

Common law rules apply to this situation if you knew anything about law. The fact that you found this rude is irrelevant because it does not violate any rules. Now i'm done arguing with you and I would like to talk to the moderator who banned me.

 

Sorry silfkin I did not read you're text fully. Why did I think that it was a good idea to place those two signs down? I thought that he would find it humorous, as my friends did. I guess I had a flaw in judgement and i'm sorry for that.
