Forum Sign-Up Reward

Hey fellow skyblockers

I was just wondering if there was a way to get more players to join the forums.
And I think I found a solution: People should get a reward for signing up. Just as with voting.
The broadcast in-game would say something like: Join our forums at Skyblock Forums and get 10 grassblocks as reward. ( Just an example )At the moment the broadcast says: Join our forums at Skyblock Forums. I think this is not enough to get players join the forums. Ones the rewards are added (If possible) I think more players will join. This way the forums will get more active, and there will be more fun

I was thinking about, when signing in you should give up your in-game name. Ones you have signed up you get your reward(s). And if you were asking yourself: No the player can not get more rewards, because they can only make one account with their playername

Haha, If it costs money then I would respect it if he wouldn't add it because yeah ya kno But I just think that rewards would get more people to join the forums

Support, I think when people hear 'forums' they think of something like Minecraft Forums, which is less user-to-user chat and more about transmitting things. This community is small enough for us to establish relations with everyone, which they'll be able to see when they come here. To be honest, I only came here because I had a suggestion to post and then I got sucked in from there.

This could be easily abused..

 

Just make it so that only one IP may get an account and receive a reward. It's not perfect, but it's better protection than most.

 

It's not like it takes 10 seconds to change your ip..

 

It takes more than 10 seconds to change your IP more than once...
Also, if you're going to change your IP over and over again for grass blocks, you have no life.

go to cmd. open with admin
/ipconfig release
/ipconfig renew

 

That just changes your local/private IP address not your public IP

As for this server plugin/forum addon, just make it so it can only be redeemed once per IGN

 

Support this would be good the only problem is I think heaps if people would join the forums and get the reward but never go back on the forums.

Sometimes, people just need a small try at something for it to go a long way. As someone mentioned earlier, a lot of people may view Skyblock forums as similar to Minecraft forums so they may just not join. That's what I thought as well when I first started out playing Skyblock. It wasn't actually until I got a high donor rank that I decided to sign up for forums.

I was pleasantly surprised.
