Is it weird that there's another island about 100 blocks away from mine? I inserted a picture of what I can see from the border of my island. The border is 40 blocks away from the central bedrock, and I believe the max distance was 49 blocks from the bedrock? If that was the case, wouldn't our islands be really close to colliding when at maximum size? EDIT: My minecraft username is FlazeX and my island's coordinates are in the picture, just if anyone wants to check out the situation.
Yes, technically the islands will be touching if both you maximise the size of the islands. Sadly this is a limitation of skyblock, the only thing you can do is to move islands if this really bothers you. Remember that most of the IRL houses are separated by but a single wooden fence
Everyone has neighbors. If you are worried about whether the island will expand to the limits what you should do is not make yours to the limit. I say a good island size is 40-45 from bedrock, remembering that you can build up and down. As well as that you can find a creative way to expand to the limits more blocks down than the neighbor. Lock any chests and expensive blocks, you can find help guides that show how to lock any blocks, and if you notice any activity, a mod will be happy to check who is living next door
Alright, I'm not too worried about the fact that our islands might touch, but more of whether my neighbors are trustworthy. The thing with new islands is, you can never be too sure if the new players are someones you can trust. They might just bridge over when they see a huge island with lots of treasure (like mine ). I'll use lockette to lock all my chests and furnaces and probably store all my most valuable things in my enderchest. Thank you for replying, this helped.
No problem, I used to check islands frequently for players who were concerned about their neighbors. If you have any issues, don't hesitate to contact mods. I think this can be locked :3
