Nope. Why do you think you should be a mod? I think I deserve this position. I have been on the skyblock.net server for about a year now, and believe that I am dedicated to this kind of server. I don't want to be cocky or anything, but I think I could be a much better mod than some mods that I have seen. I have seen mods fail to help people that have been scammed, fail to help people that are being cyberbullied, etc. Moderators require 5 areas of expertise: responsibility, respect, discipline, intelligence, and the "like-ability factor". There are two kinds of responsible: responsible for keeping track of something, and responsible for following rules. I am responsible for keeping track of something, considering the fact that I have two younger brothers. They tend to wander off and stray from the crowd, so it is my job to keep them with the group and on task. When they bicker, I am held responsible to stop them. I am also responsible for following the rules, considering the fact that I have never been banned on any Minecraft server before. I also believe I possess the skills to follow the rules because in school, I am mostly considered the Principled Learner, whom follows the rules and principles in school. I possess the respect factor, considering the fact that I am of the Vietnamese Culture. In our culture, we must respect the elder, as they are wiser and more important than us. If we fail to respect them, we fail to follow the culture. I also believe that I possess respect because I am an extremely considerate person. I am very nice to people, if you ask anyone that is close to me. I possess the discipline factor as well, because I have younger brothers. When they do something bad or make a bad decision, I show them "tough love" and get them into shape. If I do something bad, I take a moment and meditate, which calms me and returns me to a peaceful state. I possess the intelligence factor as well, considering the fact that I study much more than I play video games every day. If someones questions my integrity or intelligence on the server, I will show them up. I won't be mean, but I will be disciplinary, considering the fact that moderators must be role models. Finally, I believe that I possess the "like-ability factor", which is a factor that allows you to bond well with almost anybody. This "like-ability factor" is hard to explain, so in simplest terms, I do not let people get under my skin, but do not go under those of other people either. I believe all 5 of these points of expertise are evident in my life, so I believe I deserve the moderator position. How long can you be active on the server every day? On weekends, about 3 hours. On weekdays, about 1 hour. I have school, so I am pushing for this time. If moderator requires more time than this, I will try to make time. Do you have any past experience as a moderator? I have been Admin on several different servers. I believe Admin requires even more responsibility, considering the fact that they have /gamemode and such. When you come online you will get a bunch of "Congratulations!" Or when you come on forums there will be a comment saying "Welcome to the team"
It's not a guarantee you'll be accepted, it just raises your chances to be a Moderator if you apply, remember, it's not a volunteered position.
CypriotMerks will put a message in here saying. "Welcome to the team! " At this point in time, there will be no more Mods added unless someone leaves or if Cyp feels its right to add more.
What do you disagree about? If you're disagreeing with the template, I am right. If you're disagreeing on the amount of info then read on: I gave DuhUnicorn some advice on how to improve it. Then they put more detail in, like I said, and now it is much better. I understand that you may disagree now because there's more info now. Basically all I'm saying is there was not much info before my advice. You might not have known this.
