DDoSing is illegal in every state, it's illegal period. Why would it be legal? If you cannot understand get off the internet, go to school and actually learn something, because it's clear you're failing to learn and listen as it is already.

Souixhad quit hijacking my thread. The purpose of it is to discuss the rules, not for you to bicker with Sean.

Sean, I'm on my phone atm, but the main ones that need to be addressed are not common sense. Illegal items needs to be updated, PayPal to skybucks, afk autofarming, portals, etc.

I read the rules my first day and promptly built a single piston afk melon farm since the rules didn't say it was illegal. Gwisms head isn't on the illegal head list so common sense says its legal. These are the sort of things that concern me. We don't need a specific rule against ddos to know its wrong, that totally falls under common sense.

Btw, ddos or distributed denial of service is an attack against the server that aims to flood it with so many requests that it be ones unusable for those that don't k.ow and yes its a serious cyber crime illegal under federal law.

 

I would suggest that you guys be nice, if anyone makes any more rude remarks, their posts will be deleted and given an infraction. Be nice to each other and consider the feelings of the other person. Thank you.

 

Some of these are common sense.
However I do agree, we need to elaborate on some of the not so clear rules.

Lol.. ddos/dox/swat is illegal and YOU should not be doing it at all just because it's not in the Skyblock rules does not mean we override the Law and makes it okay for you to ddos.

So ddosing is trying to overload the server, and doxing is tracing documents, but I can't find swat.

 

DDoSing a person is basically shutting down there internet for some time.
DoXing, is finding info about people.
Swatting is sending a swat team to someones house, basically.

 

And when was that added?

 

Long time ago because I don't see any "last edited" and I never edited that in as it was created by a user which was requested for me to post it on the front page.

Now, if you re-read the rules you wouldn't have got banned and it does not matter when it was added in, it was in the rules and you should be reading the rules every now and then to see if anything is new added.

While I have your attention, I have a proposal.

If I can write a more complete version of the rules in a less verbose way, will you read and consider posting them?

Again my main points of concern are afk autofarming, illegal items being updated, and PayPal exchange. The current rules does look like an essay, and I can correct that while I'm at it.

 

The paypal exchange is addressed in Common Sense. Illegal items has been updated.

 

The majority of the things I listed in the original post either fall under common sense or have been corrected. There are a few still, which are at the bottom.

• Rule 4 (no killing) does not mention suicide machines, dangerous parkour, and mob arenas as legal with proper warning. You're not killing them, they are killing themselves.
• Consensual bridging with mod approval is legal as long as both parties stay within their 99x99. Not super important
• Killing a player's animals is illegal (minor as there are numerous mentions to not take what does not belong to you). NOTE: It would also need to mention that killing mobs in public spawners is legal. The rules speak extensively of respecting other's property
• Paypal (or anything but donations to a crew-owned server) to skybuck trade is illegal. Covered
• Does not say god items may be owned by donor25 or below if given by an hr or ol coop. Not super important
• Although hacking falls under griefing, item duping is not specifically prohibited. Updated
  
• Do not set warps off your island. I don't know if this includes spawn or the adminshop. Ok, common sense/griefing rules cover this sort of misbehavior
  
• Do not kill hostile mobs with nametags (not sure if this is illegal, but it should be). Griefing/stealing cover property respect
  
• Ban evasion is not mentioned. specifically mentioned
• Non-donors in the donor shop (you have to gain access to the shop to read the sign that it's illegal). Common sense again, but I'd prefer if there were a sign before you gain access to the shop.
  
• Owning Gwism's head is illegal. Updated
• 
  
• AFK-autofarms are illegal.
  
• Dark Oak, Acacia, and some flowers are illegal.
• The construction of nether portals is illegal.

• "On .Org if you are to warp to another person's island and afk in their spawners it is considered stealing." This seems to suggest that afk autofarming on your own island is legal. I do think that one deserves a mention more than just the umbrella of 'common sense'.
• Dark oak etc are covered by the fact that they can not be obtained legally, but this is not commonly known. They should probably be on the illegal items list. I don't know if the new items will be added when 1.8 comes out, but if not this would require an illegal items update as well.
• Nether portals being illegal should also be covered as it's not common sense at all.

While I would prefer an overly detailed list that covers all tiny particulars, that doesn't agree with cyps vision of how to present them. The majority of my list has been addressed. I'd really like it if the last few could be covered, but either way I feel this thread accomplished what it was supposed to and I'm satisfied
