I wasn't too clear on it. Like sleepy said "I'm assuming he meant like when people speak in spanish saying "alguine habla espanol" (Does anyone speak spanish?) because that's kinda poitnless". Or other times when it's used to plan stuff etc. I didn't think the rule out as carefully or explain it as much as I could of and I am still stuck for words, apologies.

Small "Dirt trade is illegal" when no mods are on, or there is 1 or 2 but possibly afk, it would be okay to point that out publicly. But it's better off to whisper it to them, so it won't disturb the chat as much. The posts some overlords make by using red text is mini-modding, or at least to me. It's not really needed and the dirt trade offer is usually completely bumped away after all the: "DIRT TRADE IS ILLEGAL!" and "Don't sell dirt!". There are exceptions to every rule, in small bits it's not considered mini-modding, but in the masses it's a great annoyance.

It's funny. When people post a moderator application, they often get the feedback of "I never see you help anyone".
So many players who wish to be a moderator try to be overly helpful so they earn the promotion.

I don't see the harm in offering to help others, unless the same message is posted more than twice in a minute.

I covered this by saying this:
I shall now add to this by saying. Offering to help others can be done in multiple ways. There's "Does anyone need help?" and then there's "Anyone need cobble?/Stone?/Grass?". Both are just as helpful, but the latter example is more, if you'd like "standard". It's not saying that you can take over the job of a mod and pick up their spawner, build a part of their isle etc. If someone needs help, they'll ask, and if you can help, you should. Yes, I do understand that applying for the moderator position and appearing as a helpful person can be extremely hard without acting like a minimod. But, there is a fine line between "helpful" and "annoying"

Some small things you can do to be helpful while easily NOT being considered a minimod follows:
-Being social, talking in the Chat a lot and reading it
-Reporting things quietly onto the forums or to a mod(through messages) so that it can be dealt with
-Saying hi in response to others who say hi
    -Having standard manners
-Being nice to the moderators and giving them reasonable respect, they have earned their position for a lot of work.(Be warned, constant pestering and attempts to continually start a conversation is counted as being a "suck-up"... nobody likes a suck up)
-Write helpful replies in the help section of construct a tutorial for something: Help | Skyblock Forums
-Be active in the discussion section, welcome all in the introductions, report things on the forums. Mods DON'T just moderate the servers, they in turn also moderate the site.

These are a few small suggestions and the smallest "Dirt trade is illegal" in a /msg or when no mods are online etc. is completely fine. I am not in turn a rule-maker, all I am is an ex-moderator here, telling my thoughts on annoyances I've seen constantly on the server. Because it's not that hard for a Member to think an Overlord is actually some sort of moderator.

Someone uses caps in chat, don't say "Caps" Most of the time the mod has already kicked the player -_-
