Hoppers

I am very annoyed that hoppers have gone so I am suggesting that we allow them but we make it so you cant place them In a 1x1 area of a chest that way we can have epic hopper inventions a little post - gecko

 

You don't need just a chest to loot with hoppers… Still, no spport

 

What do people not get? xD. There's been tons of people suggesting it. Hoppers can be used for looting and looking at the "No logs" problem right now, it may just make it even worse as it's very hard to even get logs of a block or a chest. Which brings me to the conclusion of no support.

 

I cant check as i am banned but does the server still use Lockette?

You can place hoppers or hopper minecarts under a locketted chest and it would drain the contents inside

In the newest update of Lockette the block underneath a protected chest is also protected. Aka preventing hopper looting. So lockette just needs to be updated and. Then hoppers can be allowed again.

 

Well let's update then. However, until we update, I could never give my support to hoppers coming back, as the benefit is not worth the risk. Also, you said hoppers being disallowed within one block of a chest would work, but that would means only the hopper could be filled with items. I would only want to use hoppers with farming, and the contents would go IN a chest, therefore with your idea, the main point of hoppers wouldn't even work.

 

You're still missing one key thing
You allow hoppers and players can create hopper minecarts which still aren't blocked

 

Make hopper minecarts illegal and regular hoppers legal.

 

Or wait until I finish this plugin to block hopper minecart from taking items from locked chests

 

There's logs of hopper looting...
-Hoppers;
Place a hopper down, under the chest, there are logs that hoppers have been placed, find out who it was, banned.
Just like normal looting.
-Minecart hoppers;
You can only place minecarts on rails, I think, and the logs will show someone placing rails, of course you don't know if they have looted anything (without looking in the chest) ,but it'll still count as griefing.

Plus, if you can minecart hopper loot then why not enable normal hoppers?

Yes, but we'll have to trust you/it, (Sorry for bringing up the past but; can we trust you?-because of what you did, or what we/I've heard you've done) :/ , plus;

we could just update, (haven't checked) but that could be for say, 1.7.9 and the server might be running a 1.7.5. :/

And like what Gemma said; What's the point of hoppers if you can't have them going into a chest, that's why we'll need another plugin, like Geeks.

 

Let Geek make the plugin. That's about all there is to say lol

I personally have no idea what everyone says you did, or what you actually did. So my mind and my thoughts about you are a clean slate..Anyway, could you make that type of plugin, to disable the minecarts and that's all? If so, that sounds amazing.

 

If the update for hoppers (Includes Minecart hoppers) is updated then I don't see a reason not to have this.
