Some mods have /AFK. It's a great feature. If everyone had it, the chat would be flooded with: Megadorkvikki is now AFK or Megadorkvikki is no longer AFK. I am suggesting an AFK feature that would be available for players other than mods. Here's how it would work: If I pressed /AFK a message saying You are now AFK would appear. This message would be visible only to me, not spamming the chat. If someone were to /msg me, it would say Megadorkvikki is AFK. This would not be visible in the main chat either. Maybe this could be a donor only feature. It wouldn't interrupt the flow of the chat and would lead to better communication between players. What do you think?
The AFK permission comes with Essentials. I am sure that there are other plugins that have the AFK feature. Although, I haven't seen any like this. It would most likely need a developer which I don't think we have. But anyways, this would be a good idea. I will go browse Bukkit and look for something like this.
Sorry, but I am not seeing anything that does this. All the plugins do is announce in chat when the player is AFK. It would need to be developed and like I said, I don't think we have a dev. If it was a donor only feature, they would need to add permissions and give the donor those in their group. They would need a config unless the are planning to never modify the properties. Unless someone corrects/proves me wrong, I don't see a plugin that does this. Although it is a cool feature.
Not really needed, just do something like &5AFK or something. If it only shows to you, what is the point?
A very nice concept seems like it would need to be hard coded in a new plugin though so I don't see it happening if it does indeed happen I would love this feature
To be perfectly honest, you should just message the person you are talking to that you are afk. Simpler than adding another plugin to the server. And imo players dont really need to say they are afk in public chat either. It doesnt quite matter that you are unless you are one of those super helpers we have who constantly ask that people msg them for help. No no support for the command. Simple tip: msg someone saying you are afk, or announce in public chat if you must.
When I'm in Skyblock, I have dozens of people messaging me at once. Instead of /msging them to let them all know individually that I'm afk, it would be easier to have the plugin. Yes, I could post it in the main chat. But the people who are messaging me could miss it. (it moves rather fast) Just because I'm not a "super helper" does not mean that I don't have an array of messages to attend to. I'm constantly talking to my coops (I have 7 of them!), trading wool or trying to assist others.
The problem is essentials is already massive so it would have to be its own separate plugin that does the afk messages
This would have to be another plugin. I would say the demand for this isn't high enough for Crew to buy an whole other plugin for just this.
I have a flower generator. So I stand in a particular spot and while I'm AFK, I collect red and yellow flowers. Sometimes I do that with my cactus farm too. If I log out, I don't collect.
The realism if /AFK is to tell people that you are AFK of course you already know you're gonna be AFK.
