I was ban and I don't know what I did

I was on skyblock and some donor said first person to guess what number between 1-100 wins a diamond. Everyone started spamming away so I joined and i said "1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11" and it showed up as skyblock.net # skyblock.net # 10 11. Then TheJackLC ban me for advertise. Can someone explain what I did.

OK why I banned you is because when people type in server a Ip addresse the server has a plugin to replace the number with skyblock.net # skyblock.net # 10 11 so we the moderators ban for advertising, Just to let you know never type in numbers like you did because we will think you are trying to advertise
