Events!

So, my first suggestion for this server is to have some sort of event. There would be 1-3 winners, and they would be rewarded diamonds, or something else that is hard to get. These events wouldn't be held multiple times a day, maybe once a day, or once every 3 days. It's all up to the admins. Some events I had thought of:

-PvP arena: Anybody can come. Everybody has no items, no potions, no advantages. It would be an all-out fist fight. Whoever stays alive at the end wins!

-Parkour: Players must reach from one side of the room to the other side. Between the two platforms, there would be random blocks. It could be in any amount the admin chooses and any block the admins choose. There would be proceeding levels after all the players have crossed to the other side. The levels would get harder by generating less blocks, and harder blocks like ice or cauldrons. In the last few levels, there would be hard jumps and few blocks for the player to jump on. The last player standing wins.

-Leaf Decay: a 100x100 layer of leaves will be generated and players will have to stay on the blocks. When the leaf block decays, players will continue to fall down into a pool of water. There will be fewer and fewer leaves until only 10 or 20 remain, there will now only be 2-3 players, and whoever falls last, wins!

I like the leaf decay idea, I should do something with that actually. Pvp would be nice too, but we'd need a plugin which allows that.

Thanks! In fact, I could set up a few designs and post some pictures. With pvp, we just need an arena and make sure everyone has no items.

 

100x100 is big for 3 plyers but 20x20 would be good

 

No, not only 3 players. Everyone who wants to join, which is like 100-200 people

 

then it would be good but still 100x100 is 10000 blocks O_O takes maybe 15 mins
80x80 might be better 6400 blocks

i play on another server where they do these events... another one would be a simple parkour, but at the end of the parkour, there are a certain number of beds. The first players to beat the parkour and get into a bed would be the winners. It would also be pretty clear who won.

 

I have seen this type of event too. It needs no plugins, just a room for everyone to compete in and to be able to change the parkour after it's done.

No, there wouldn't be any AFK players because the parkour will only be open when the admin wants to start the event.

 

but if its the last person standing, they will stay afk and not move so everyone else dies before them

 

We wouldn't let people keep trying. They get 1 try and if they fall, they're done. That way, an AFK player won't affect everyone else.

No, they must reach the end to win. Not be the last person standing.

 

okay, that makes more sense... so each person gets one shot at it, and the first person to make it across wins... they can go slow and steady, or speedy and fail-y (xD) and the first one wins... but wat if no one makes it? evry one gets a second try? or the person who got the furthest?
