There should be a button to Block specific People from visiting your profile instead of Privating your whole Forums Profile to everyone

Maybe not for most people, but at times I can definitely see this being helpful for better privacy. I keep my profile private to keep a few people away for my own privacy, but that means friends can't see my profile. So in this scenario I'd def see this as helpful

 

i see this as well tho, i dont like the fact at times random pp l view my profile, but i still refuse to keep it private.

Fully neutral. I wouldn't use it, but I see no point in preventing other people from having it if they want.

 

okay...? that is your preference however some people would like specific people to be unable to view their profile so this would be a great addition. it is also a great safety measure in certain circumstances. it's also something that is 100% possible if Noobcrew purchases the XF add-on.

 

I agree with this, there are some people i might not want viewing my profile.

 

What's the XF Addon? Haven't heard of that

 

XenForo add-on. Essentially what the forum mainly uses to add extra things that are not naturally integrated by XenForo themselves. In this specific case, the add-on that would be used would be WMTech's User Blocking System.

 

XF is XenForo, the software behind the forums (you may already know this, not trying to talk down)
There are a ton of add-ons that extend native features and would allow for more granular blocking of visibility.
One such is "XF2 Ignore/Block Essentials" which allows for and enforces a "two-way" block. If you block a user, both of you cannot see anything about the other, full stop.

I don't see too many others, but the one above is $90 for a lifetime license.

 

Are we on XenForo 1.x or 2? WMTech's blocking add-on is only available for 1.x and hasn't been updated since 2015.

 

I'm with you, I used to host a similar set up forum many years ago when I was into game development. I think that used sfs softwares or something to that name.

I've often suggested things like this on the forum. And in game but that's to eachs own preference. I've never understood the point of being able to ignore a person if that person still sees your posts etc.

If it's just a case of a one time licence fee, ngl I'd be happy to donate towards that. It feels at times that skyblock as a whole could be better funded through newer ranks kits etc

 

in my opinion i think the ranks are just fine, but maybe it'd be nice if another higher rank was added to economy. As well as the kits definitely should be updated.
