Being able to waterlog blocks (not full blocks) like stairs and slabs i think it would drastically improve the gameplay

I know nothing about developing but I feel like that'd be kinda hard and glitchy and there are a lot more problems devs are focusing on :p

I doubt this can be implemented without updating the server to a newer version. Even if it was, how many builds would this break? This was implemented along side other significant changes to water behavior which would break a few kinds of farms as well as decorative builds and could even do things like cause water to flow out from where you thought it was contained all over a bunch of stuff you didn't think needed protection from water.

I doubt devs could code it in without a massive effort as isWaterlogged is a block attribute and pretty deep in the code.

While this is a cool mechanic and I wish we had it, I have to go no support as even if devs COULD do it, it's low on the priority list and would have a negative impact to existing builds.
