This is a warden. This is a warden hitting a full netherite player one time. These mobs detect movement so you have to crouch near them. You will regret it if you do not. (I'm double posting here because I really like to keep the original Discussion message clean.)
This is not a joke. Now discuss what you think this will mean for minecraft. (Why would someone vote no on loving this update. It's a cave update!) Bumping this because I don't want people to miss out on this huge announcement for a huge update for Minecraft. This is a cave and cliff update, and more details are yet to be revealed. And from this reveal, the new caves are going to be beautiful. Also is anyone else getting Terraria vibes from this update? Because I sure am.
This is probably one of my favourite updates in a while besides the addition of bees and parrots. Mooblooms deserved better though! :C
It just fits in with the environment and it grows buttercups on it's back and is very aesthetic whilst the others don't appeal to me.
Ok, Honestly it does fit in with it's biome pretty well. However to be honest I feel like there are too many cow variants (Currently 3 already) and the cow wouldn't have a really big use other than being there for flowery builds and some interaction with bees. Plus we already have 2 yellow flowers, and I'm pretty sure buttercups would be a third. I like glow squid the best because I felt like it could really enhance water builds (But of course the build would have to feel a bit natural to the Minecraft ocean to work), particularly glass tunnels with a water environment around them. For the Iceologer, I just felt like it could become a serious nuisance and it doesn't really fit the mountain theme to be honest.(There is basically no ice in the mountains, yet it attacks with ice clouds.)
Not sure how I feel about this update. Some aspects of the update make it feel more like a mod then actual minecraft itself with some of the new features like crystals and fossil sites. It is however in early stages of development so textures and mechanics will most likely change. I do like the idea of wireless redstone however and goats are a cool addition. The cave update is interesting as the bigger the caves the more likely hostile mobs will have a line of sight on you which could make it difficult early game.
Yeah. but as you said its early stages things are bound to change. Even then some things are always going to give people different opinions and i see where u r coming from. Some additions I feel will be really interesting however! I get some things are not as important or useful as others. All the new repetitive adds such as many different cow variants like you mentioned might make it a bit overloaded and such. Then again some people may think that will be a good add, changes are most likely going to happen also so I'm excited for more details to come
But to be honest the new Warden mob is horrifying. It legitimately echolocates. So you could try to distract it by shooting an arrow or something like that, but if you make noise, you are basically dead. It can move really fast and this is really not a mob anyone would want to fight. The sound sensing includes placing blocks and stuff, so anything that makes the slightest sound will attract him. Even normal walking does not work, you must sneak. If you hit it, it moves extremely fast, around the player's speed of sprinting so it can stay right behind you. This is just to help fuel your guy's nightmares.
Aww man, you definitely wont be seeing me anywhere near the underground. Legit would give me nightmares. However the mechanics do sound very interesting and would be a really fun mob to deal with if done right.
I honestly feel the same, this is a mob you are not meant to fight. I think this is definitely a great and unique mob that will provide challenge to mining. Honestly though I would love to see these things in base defense. Just imagine that for one moment. You find a base, and it pops out and instantly kills you. The only big problem is actually moving the warden to your base, as those are not to be messed with.
Honestly I can't deny that it feels like a mod. However this is an interesting update, and I think changes like this are necessary to Minecraft's success or else the game would become too repetitive, and updates like these make Minecraft still feel like a new game. The wireless redstone works by using a sound detector to power a sound making block and making a chain like that. But to be honest this will probably be really different to the final result as the update gets released in (Sorry) Summer of 2021
Can we remove the recent items minecraft released and have the cave update replace them all? I dont wanna deal with more recipes and how to use them
They only have like five new unique recipes(Copper blocks and slabs, and stuff like that do not count.) so far. And honestly these items seem super easy to use.
