Not sure, it happened to me a few times but you can try to place blocks over the glitched light areas and break the blocks because it sometimes work but not always. Worth a try.

That is true. But thats like a LOT of work to make a massive platform over a void. and ill just have the same issue again.

Yeah it isn't a pleasant experience. Try maybe googling on how to fix them or watch some youtube videos on how to fix them if there's any?

The closest thing ive found was a mod that could actually solve my problem but i have 2 problems with it.
For one, its for 1.10 (i use forge 1.11)
And its made for liteloader not forge. I need it to pair with my heckin schematica.

No. Thats the mod i mentioned earlier. the two flaws with that is that that is for versions 1.10.2 and below. It's also configured for liteloader and not forge.
Thats what i already have. No work :(
I mean that could potentially work, the concept of it i guess, but i need to use schematica if i want to get this gold placed at a reasonable pace. So that option is out

Bard, judging that it's a flaw with the game's current engine, you need to edit the engine itself or wait for 1.14 (a rewrite of the lighting engine) to play without the lag. I often get quite a bit of lag when there's lighting updates but it's still playable, so I suggest waiting to finish said project until you can play in 1.14 if it's so bad. Hacks like scaffold could make your job a lot easier and more bearable when placing stuff over the void.

To put it in perspective, im trying to still replace the stone on my island with gold. The task is near impossible with the heavy lag spikes i get.
