How come nobody plays skywars anymore? is it just dead?

Well yes it's dead. Rarely anyone ever plays on it and the reasons are mostly because the maps are buggy (or maybe its only me), and the server itself needs new maps but it isn't the main focus atm

 

I feel like economy is the main focus nowadays

 

Skywars doesn't have levels, leaderboards, ranks, crates, or anything like that, just small maps and many glitches.
