New section? Cool beans. I've recently discovered a surprising amount of people who are currently playing dungeons and dragons. I don't know if there are any of you on Skyblock, but if you have stories, character ideas, want to start a campaign, ask about rulings and different versions, go for it! You can let this thread die in a fire if none of you are quite nerdy enough for that. My campaign at the moment is run through Roll20, we have 4 players and our DM - two dragonborns, an elf, and an aaracokra (me). My character is a ranger bird person named Akuila who likes shiny objects and doesn't know how to talk to people. We've been playing for 10 months and are only just up to level 5, so it's gonna be a long one. So, any one else have a campaign? Maybe even just want to be in one? I'd love to hear about it ^-^
Omg I'd love to play... but I haven't even finished reading the player's handbook.. if you want we can talk about it on Skype..
That's what this thread is for! To be honest, I never bothered to read the whole book. I just picked out the bits I needed while I needed them. That probably explains why I never know the rules... >_>
Well I'd love to have a campaign with you :3 though I'll be honest. You most likely know more than me
Maybe one day, but as I said, I'm already in a campaign which looks like it's going to go for another year or two xD
More or less. You can spend plenty of money on it, buying the Player's Handbook/Monster Manual etc, dice and accesories, but you can also access the pdfs of these online and play over things like Roll20, which are free, meaning you don't need dice, tokens, or maps.
As I said Roll20 is free. Your questions are confusing me... maybe you should google what DnD is. Its a group of nerds sitting around a table, telling stories and rolling dice; not a game in the video game sense.
one day would love to play have all the handbooks and guidebooks and the game sounds like something that could be stupid fun lol. And yes when it comes to necroing threads i have a power shovel LOL
It is really fun if you find a good group to play with. I'm now in 3 games: the one I mentioned in the OP is still running, and we've done a pretty lengthy campaign switching DMs, where I play Lepidoptera, a soft-spoken goliath bard. We're about to start another one as our DM is away, and I'll be Remington, the sassy human warlock. Leppy (surrounded by orphans): Remi: They're cool kiddos.
