I am backed up with some right now or I'd take some in myself. It crushed me to see this many. Also, you should consider getting more, they're wonderful pets, but their life span is so short.

I live about an hour from LA and this is the first time I heard about this! I mean I could take one as my dorm pet but Bakersfield is 2-3 hours from where I live.
Yeah it’s close to 3 hours away from me too. And if you were able to get to one, you’d need two. Rats strive in pairs and should never be kept alone. ❤️
Rats are social animals, meaning if kept alone they can develope depression, gain weight or stop eating. You also get cases where they go crazy and begin chewing their way out of cages, possibly hormonal aggression. The list goes on. They sure are, from what I heard over half have been rescued.
There is one female left, she's a double rex/patchworks, you could probably get her a friend. but intros are difficult to manage, but sometimes have better luck with girls.
