Vote and receive grass to build a shop and then grind for the materials and eventually make more grass and repeat
Skyblock's not about money unless you choose to make it about it. If you know how to play skyblock, just grind a bit and gather your own materials, vote every day and after a month u have a stack and a half grass and have the same amount of vote keys. Then you can buy the materials u want for your projects plus you have your farms and vote keys. If you vote every day, you'll probably make it to top 10 voters of the month and get $20 for the store. Then buy yourself donor10 and if there's a sale, maybe donor 25. Then you have an every other day kit for materials. Just give it some time and you'll get there. #TheReformPlan.
There are things you can do without having a donor rank. You could start a basic tree farm. All you have to do is advertise well and consistently sell wood logs to other players. You will have a steady income to go visit other shops. You could also go on and raid the nether for some fun blocks. You can also start a basic cobblestone generator (without redstone) and mine it and expand your island. You could also do the odd job here and there for other players, like help them expand their island or help farm items for them, etc. The beauty of minecraft is you can make your goal whatever you want it to be. You can build, horde items, make friends, be active on the forums here or on discord, play mob arena, pvp on your own island, enslave mobs, control the global economy, become a social influencer, create back channels to the top moderators, apply for moderator, etc. Never feel limited because you are new. Everyone started out new and dirt poor
well, originally there was a goal of completing several challenges to "win" (see SkyBlock single player) but since it's a server and no natural mob spawning basically do whatever you want like in survival, but the difference is it's in the air. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Uhh in the new server theres a setting where you can enable/disable natural mob spawning. Anyways skyblock isnt really about getting all kinds of rares or getting rich. Its more than that and what make skyblock fun is the players as the one of the reasons I play skyblock is I get to talk, communicate and play with my friends. You can set your purpose in skyblock to anything you want like building, getting rich but in the end its all about having fun isnt it?
