I'd never knew the staff was that bad, like honestly. I'v seen few things that did raise an alarm but nothing too concerning. Most managers (no hate towards them) are not as active as I hoped they'd be nor did much. How many times have you seen them on?
I've seen moth managers online for more than a hour each day. They are most of the time on the new server ( Managers have access to /skyblock ), you can check that by doing /glist ( shows the playerbase of all networks ).
i must thank you for making this thread god damn i was so curious. v sorry you had to go through that all, i also started getting bad feelings after da bests have resigned/left/demoted/whateveromg (lemonade, krissy.. etc.). thanks for having good intentions nevertheless, sometimes i didnt like you, but i still appreciated your work and efforts was nice having you and jamsey around, but good things never last eh? i was hoping every staff member woud make it to the new server and make it great like the old days but now i feel like Laini is going to resign cos like a staff team does make a big difference in being commited to doing something, and having fun while doing it
It’s been really weird knowing that some of my closest friends have now left the team. I don’t want to resign because why leave more people behind. I love the server and I love the friends I’ve made here too. I really do. This server has the closest community I’ve ever seen. It’s lovely to be here. There are always going to be issues but we can try our best to get them fixed, right? Thank you both for your service here, Talia and James. You’ve both taught me a lot since I was promoted, and before that too.
I know Krissy and I both did the same thing, and we ended up getting demotions. It's not fair that some members on the staff team caused 2 members to resign and possible members. Krissy's and my demotion was also caused by a specific person on the staff team that has caused many other issues with resigning and thoughts of resigning. It's just sad to see that I and other staff members have been telling higher ranked positions that this would happen, but no one listened, and yes, it happened.
I was mainly confused, as most of the people agreeing aren't staff members. As someone who is only staff as of recently, I had no real idea of the inner workings/relations until I was promoted (before that it was just hearsay, nothing to base proper opinions on). Anyway, I didn't read this thread till now (oops). I feel like given not many other staff members replied, I need to clear some stuff up. Maybe it's just a matter of perspective, so I don't want people to get an idea that the team are all at each other's throats/dysfunctional: I personally have no serious issues with any of my colleagues. Kerahna and Fun do way more than the players see publicly. I've had them check in on me, make sure I'm coping okay, and generally try as best as they can to make sure everyone was okay. Please remember their new positions are staff management, not player management. As the mediators between a battle that didn't seem like it could have any positive outcome, I think they did the best they could. No one wants to see the team grow smaller, least of all the managers. Anyway yeah, perhaps I miss some of the drama, but the team isn't all that different from how it was in 2014-15. There are changes in the people, who's fighting who, the various issues, but the main difference I see now is they're trying to improve. It's easy to develop a cynical viewpoint (seems to be a popular thing to do lately if "skyblock is dying" and "2016/17 was the worst year" are anything to go by), but if you put a bit of effort in, the staff team is a wonderful thing to be a part of. Call it rose-tinted glasses, but with a bit of effort, I personally enjoy it warts and all. I don't think Talia, James or anyone is wrong, I really just wanted to share my perspective so that you don't all think we're staying due to duty or all back-stabbing each other. Each person's experience is completely individualised and two versions of events can be completely different and yet both true.
Lol, adding on to what clarity said, and others. The staff team is a [edit]show lul. One, you either have older people attempting to try to mandate and help, then you have younger ones who attempt being mature, and then there’s just ones in the middle who are like “I just work here” Regarding “toxicity” I think that socially among games it’s a pretty stupid thing to try to prevent because it’s inevitable. And whenever people get jobs they’re just going to get [edit] out by managers, that’s how life is. Overall I never knew you much as a mod, I just believe you’re on the younger end of the staff team, or were rather. But in a place with no leadership of the team or a goal or direction it’s not going to be fun. It would be anarchy lol. If you know you can do practically whatever the [edit] you want to, and get away with it because of a position. Why wouldn’t you? People can call out others and twist words because they know no higher authority will personally get involved on a deep level to sort it out. And that’s how it is, oh well rip
i dont know what its being in the staff team obviously, but i really loved seeing you as a mod natalia..
