New Server... or not

The new server will have the following

• Challenges
• Island level
• Ranks will transfer
• Island limit would be 200x200
• Custom UI menu with /skyblock which will let you see your trust list with player heads, give certain players permissions, etc.
• Server will be on 1.12
• Some other things that I forget

There is, it is set to release near the end of December, and the developers are working very hard at the moment to get it done by December. I cannot promise it would be done by the end of December, it should set to be release at the end, and if not, early January.

I'm assuming it's suddenly moved to mid January?

 

Latest update information I got is that the new server will be released in 10.01.18

 

My biggest concern about the new server is will the old one be removed? I spent a lot of time and money for this new build over the last month and would be very discouraged if I had to build the jungle island a third time. Just curious if our investments will be lost. Servers cost money to run so I am not sure they'd keep both. I don't really want to keep building on an elaborate home that will be deleted shortly. Any ideas anyone? Ps. Love the server and the community!

I think the longer we have to wait, the better it is going to be. We just need to be patient. I know everyone is really excited for it but it's better to wait longer for a working server than to get it very early for a not so good server. Just remember that the staff team is doing an amazing job

 

I understand that they are trying to make it better before official release, but July > December is kind of a big difference, in my opinion.

 

I'm really sorry for the long wait, everyone. Between family responsibilities during the holidays and issues discovered during testing, it's taking longer than we anticipated. We want to make sure we have a stable release before we open it to the public, and we're also trying to take into account feedback and suggestions we've received over the past few months from the community.

Service is still going to be provided for the current server, though, right? Service as in, like, it's not gonna just be dead with random people on it. It'll still be cared for, right?

 

Yes. Once the new server is released and stable, I plan to turn my attention towards bug fixes and improvements for the current server.

Yes, but they're also trying to reset the economy and moving over all your goods and rares would just turn Skyblock into an updated 1.12 versions with extra commands
