Ay waddup I've been here awhile so now I'm applying for moderator.

1. Why Should I be mod- I should be mod because I generally dislike the goals of most of the mods that are on this server (not saying I don't like the mods themselves). I want to be the mod that everyone gets along with while also enforcing the Skyblock rules.

2. The thing that I like about most mods is that they interact with people. But I noticed that most mods won't interact with greenies unless if they see "MOD" in the chat. I would be the mod that would interact with everyone no matter their donor rank.

3. Already, I probably give most of my kit away (mostly the grass and pick) and I don't have any cool rares besides a bunch of diamonds. Lowkey I'm probably one of the most generous donors out there and I don't plan on stopping doing that.

How long Can I be active?- I have the potential to be active about 2 hours a day during the Summer, but once marching band starts up I can only be on an hour a day.

How long have I been playing Skyblock?- I honestly don't know but I think I started in 2014/13 and it was honestly my life for about 8 months and then I was on and off and I recently started playing and noticed the lack of mods- or people on this server so that's why I'm applying

Have I been banned before? Yes! When I was a greenie (about 2 or 3 years ago) I didn't want to fall off the map so I would use fly and one time I was caught by a mod but other than flying on my own island no. (I have fly now so I'm ok )

Any Mod experience? Yes, on this server in like 2012 called buttcrafters but we had a max of 30 people on and it lasted only a few weeks. So basically no, I have no modding experience.

Well you do have a pretty decent app, but I would suggest tweaking it as you progress. I haven't really seen you much in-game or on the forums. For now I'll remain neutral until your activity increases. Good luck!

 

On the application:
Your text is too big. Only have it size 4 - any larger, and it seems as if you're making it look like your application is longer than it is. You can leave your titles in a larger font if you wish, but having the main body so large makes the application difficult to read and gauge.
It would be appreciated if you added the time zone number to "central time", as plenty of people don't know when that is off the top of their heads. Mine, for example, is +9:30. Yours will be -5, or something. Your languages section is very confusing--use formal language (so get rid of "2" for too, and remove "so yeah I guess"), and it would be easier if you just said "English and German".
You've slandered the current mods three times in your application. Now, I don't really have a problem with this, but I'm just pointing it out so that you're aware you're offending your future colleagues--maybe not the best move. Try to focus on what you're good at, not what others are bad at. In general, you need to write a lot more. Try to convince us that you're the best choice for the team. What will you specifically bring to the table?
Don't write about your generosity. As quoted from Artificiality's thread pinned in this section:

I don't see you online a lot. I used to see you online from memory, but that was a few years ago now. I'd love to see you active again. It might be worth mentioning that we don't really need American moderators at the moment, but that won't affect my support, just the likelihood of your promotion.
I don't really see you on the forums that much, so please hang out here a bit more.

Your application needs some work. You seem kind and intelligent, and you have the potential to be active. If you work at it, I'm sure you'll become a moderator in no time.

 

I have a review for you, then I will decide my stance. First off, I will judge you based off of what I know of you. You are active on forums and the server. However you can be more helpful than you are being. From this review, I would say I am neutral. I will now review your app:

ok, first thing. I love the spacing you use, however you have your word sizes backwards. For example, you say this:

As you see in my example, I switched the big words and small words around. I also shrunk the sizes of the words, because your font size is way too large. This makes you look like a kid who doesn't have much time left to write an essay for writing class, so you up your font size to make it fit 1 page. That doesn't work for teachers, and it doesn't really help you on here either. Bolding also makes it easier for people to read and keeps it more organized. At the moment, the only thing truly organized that I see is the <>. but there are other ways you could improve the look of your app. I will now expound my opinion regarding your app.

Remove that part of your mod app. It is completely pointless, looks like you are trying to make yourself look like you've been on longer than you have, and it's kind of cringy.

I have a hard time believing your main language is English, because you failed to use proper English in this sentence. Don't use numbers; instead of saying 2, say two. Your app does say you know two languages though, and that is commendable. Brownie point for that.

You could have just said Yes, your statement was redundant and used circular reasoning. I believe that everyone should know that Yes means Yes. Something you might include is what recorder you do have.

Regarding your first paragraph, I commend you for being bold in saying you dislike the goals. You should further explain what it is that you plan on doing differently. I also have a news flash for you mate: If you are a mod, you won't get along with everyone, it's just not possible. You must be unbiased as a mod, and sometimes that means that you have to get your friends in trouble. Nobody likes getting in trouble, so you won't be getting along with everyone.

Regarding your second paragraph, Greenie is not a donor rank. There is also no discrimination against greenies from mods. A mod is only required to do their job, being friendly with other players is only their preference. A mod's goal isn't to make friends with everyone, if anything making friends with everyone makes the job of a mod much more difficult.

Regarding your 3rd paragraph, REMOVE THE 3RD PARAGRAPH, there is no point in having it.

There is no need to mention your marching band practices. All you need to mention is that you can be active up to 2 hours a day, remove the other stuff.

ok you have a lot of revising to do dude. There is so much in this application that is unnecessary. Just say you have been playing Syblock for 3 years, and leave it at that. That question didn't ask why you are applying, it asked how long you have been playing skyblock.

Don't prolong your application by telling stories. Just say that you have been banned, and say why. There was no need to mention your rank, or your back story.

WHAT IS THIS? You didn't answer the question at all. The question asked if you meet the requirements, and you said you don't deserve to be staff. 2 things:
1. Don't ever say you don't deserve to be staff
2. ANSWER the question.


My final decision, is a big no support. I will sum up my review for you:

Become more helpful and active.
Switch the letter sizes around, and for goodness sakes, don't use such big text.

Your mod app needs a lot of work. I know that iballisticbunny6 said you have a decent mod app, but you don't. I'm not saying quit, I'm saying reformat it, and revise it. I would love to support you as mod, however I need to see you more active and helpful, and I would prefer you change your mod app. I guess my best advise is: Read your mod app, and consider it from Cyp's point of view. Ask yourself if you would hire yourself, and if you get bored reading your mod app, then you didn't do it right. Good luck.

From what I believe, that post you made on Lynse's application had to be removed by a moderator. You're extremely immature in that aspect. Moderators should be mature.

Real quick, about the part where you said mods don't care about greenies until the greenie yells mod. I decided to get proof that mods do care about greenies, here is my proof:


as you can see, mods do care . Also, if you visit this individual's island, he has a wall where people that donated signed. There are at least 3 mods that are on that wall. Another note on you disagreeing with the mod's goals, I think the mod's goals are fine. The majority of them seem to be very caring and helpful.
