This thread is basically advising if you haven't already update your windows systems now, there is a cyber attack that is hitting the world demanding a ransome to get your files back it's known as 'wannacry'. FedX, Telefonica and hospitals in the UK have been hit by this. To install this go into settings and click Update & Security and then download the latest update or click the windows icon in the corner and type 'windows update'. Even if you don't believe in this it's always better to be safe than sorry. Shoutout to ChipmunkOx for making me aware of this and telling me I can prevent it.

Microsoft deployed an update to patch this. Might be worth checking to see if it's been installed, I just installed the update.
kinda surprised no one talked about the shadowbrokers NSA leak, at least that I saw. ransomware es no bueno.
the OS is the main separating thing between windows systems and mac. I can easily outdo a mac hardware-wise with windows, but I won't have the OS mac systems have.
This was helpful but if you follow the patterns it's pretty clear they're primarily attacking businesses.
