This lottery has ended (1 Sep 2016 AEST - 1 Oct 2016 AEST), and the winner is Weiss , I'll attempt to contact this player. Thank-you to all related to this topic! As-well, the winner will also be announced at my island for some time. I changed my username during the lottery. I believe when this lottery first started, I was known by the name of SkyLotto, then near the end of the lotto, I changed my name to AinsleyHariot. I would imagine this change of would of effected purchasers, by confusing them and more. I have attempted strategies to prevent any confusion, by sending mail towards purchasers about this topic, unfortunately at the time, there seemed to be a glitch, were it would register some players i sent mail to as "unknown" or something along those lines. As-well, I did allow some purchasers to pay with another methods. Mostly people who payed with another method, paid with 22 grass, which i accepted. I did this because then I would /visit SkyShop at the time to convert 22 grass into 1 diamond, so not much of a difference really. Otherwise, the only different offer I recall was a mob spawner related one, but like I previously mentioned, I got this style payment done in such a way, that I believe it was quite fair, and wouldn't of really impacted much, or if not, any of an effect. I've also decided to remove the previous description stated within this area, due to me thinking it wasn't needed, because the lottery is over and done with. Sorry if any spelling/grammar mistakes or other types of errors occurred, and I believe that this is everything I should and have to announce. I don't really believe I "lied", about the multiple topics I mentioned above, I believe these situations weren't originally discussed, and now they have turned more into an inconvenience in my opinion. I'm sorry for any inconvenience, I'd recommend privately contacting me via forums or in game to discuss about related matters of this lottery. I don't want this thread to be no longer used. Could staff remove it or close it or something related please? Krissy
Due to controversy on this topic, I have changed the rules/details. I'd recommend revising the Details/Rules, near the start of this thread, to see the edited and updated information. Sorry for any inconvenience, but my new decision should go in favour for any purchasers. Thank-you to anyone who suggested and criticised about the previous information towards the 350 tickets required thing, it has helped me out a lot!
As Frederic mentions, if you get 300 diamonds and you pull the plug you gain 300 diamonds + a beacon and that is not a fair game, it benefits you directly. Im sorry to be so blunt but if you want to make a competition the profit should be minimal and policy fair so the competition goes ahead. If you are not prepared to lose, don't make a comp. Make a trade instead.

Proof of owning a beacon? You should own it before hand because even if you sell enough tickets to buy one people may only have bought a ticket in hopes of winning a beacon and that would be a problem if you cant find somone to buy it from.
No one is going to buy tickets then. seriously? So you think it's ok that if 345 tickets aren't bought, that means to You get to keep it all and its alright? Not how skyblock works mate. Sort it out, or no one clever enough will buy tickets.
I'm gunna wait until there are a lot more tickets sold. Can you keep an update at your island or on this thread to how many tickets have been sold?
I already had the Beacon before the lotto started... It's directly in front of my island spawn, just do /vist SkyLotto Sorry if I may of confused you.
Sorry, I won't be doing this at the moment. The fact of people seeing how many tickets have been sold, might put people off purchasing, likely making there to be no-one to win a beacon. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Hey thanks man! Yeah, I got quite a bit of slack for my old concept, so I decided to change it. I myself found it a bit greedy and the new style should make things better for everyone. Good to hear positive feedback
Hey thinking about it, it's still pretty unfair and messy your new implement. Players still won't want to buy tickets, and you say they will get half back. Firstly, that still isn't enough, I will give you an idea next paragraph. What if a player pays 1 diamond? You can't simply give them 1/2 a diamond can you? Lmao My idea - get rid of your time date. Simple as that. Meaning the prize will be picked as soon as everyone has bought, if no one buys, refunds 100% it's a bit of a scam to not refund completely if all the tickets are not sold.
WARNING: Super long and boring! Ok, regarding your comments towards the 01/09/2016-01/10/2016 lotto... For your first paragraph, I think you may of visualised things a bit wrong. For this current lotto, if 350 tickets aren't sold, I give 1/2 or more of ticket profits as the prize instead of the beacon. So say Bob buys 10 tickets and Steve buys 8 tickets and no-one else enters and the lotto's time has ended. This total amount is obviously not 350 tickets. For this lotto, tickets are a diamond each, so I made 18 diamonds profit from selling tickets. So I randomly choose one of these guys, and Steve happens to win, even with less entries, due to luck. So I don't give Steve 1/2 or more of what he paid for entry tickets, I give him 1/2 or more of what everyone paid for entry tickets. So I reward him with 9 diamonds. If this final amount of sold tickets happens to be an odd number, say 3 tickets, I give the winner the upper hand, so I give them 2 tickets worth of profits. So if only 1 ticket were sold in a lotto, I give the winner 1 tickets worth of profit. This is also talking about the 01/09/2016-01/10/2016 lotto... Regarding your second paragraph, If I had no date limits, and just simply ended the lotto when the required amount of tickets were sold, I'd make no profit at all and it would really be a waste of time for myself. You may of thought, hey, but the required amount of tickets to be sold is 350, you'd make like 150 ticket profits worth, since Beacons are only worth (as I type) 200 diamonds. Well I paid 50 spawners for my Beacon, spawner go for around 7 diamonds these days (as I type) so 50x7 = 350 diamonds. So since a ticket in this lotto is worth 1 diamond, I've set the required amount of the beacon to be the prize at 350. So If I followed that suggestion of yours, I'd simply make no profit, and I'd be wasting my time. I also don't do refunds, one big factor because it would be impossible, imagine locating possibly hundreds of people who consist of different time-zones, it would be hard. Thanks for your reply though, I've thought quite a bit about it, this is also really my first big lotto, so I'm a bit new, so there may be flaws.
