I feel like there's so many random mod apps from players who have literally played on the server for 5 minutes and have 1 forum post. It's ridiculous. Maybe something simple like needing at least 50 posts or so before posting in the Mod application forum would reduce the spam from players who haven't even read the format?

I like this idea. This will make it so that you need a certain amount of experience on the forums and in game before you apply, which a lot of applicants lack.

Even though many users just join the forums to make a moderator application, it is fairly annoying. Support. Perhaps the making an application cool-down could go along with the rating cool-down? Since you need 25 posts to be able to rate, it could just be 25 posts before you can make an application as well.

Support, most of the application section is just spam right now, from people who barely try when making their applications.

Unfortunately, I don't think having a post guard is possible without a custom add-on since I've found nothing of the sort when looking on the XenForo add-on section (Add-ons | XenForo Community). A more practical solution would to be to set the permissions, for example, of New Member unable to post in the Moderator Application subforum. This way, they'd need to become a member to post which includes either waiting a few years or posting.

    Cheers.

Support. I've read many applications and some of them literally look like they have taken 1 minute. I think a cool down or a 25 message mod application thing would fit quite nicely and reduce the spam a lot. And we might be able to see a lot more detailed and good applications. Also it would be even better if it was like a "Member+" type of thing so like New members cant post an application.

It's best not to discriminate here. New members may be experienced on the server. It doesn't mean they are not capable of mod.
But this is a good idea if it can be implemented

It's still best that they're experienced on both forums and server. Plus, getting to fifty posts really doesn't take that long.

As I said the 50 post thing is good, not allowing new members on the forum to post a mod app is not right

Yes! Support. Many people just want to be mod but don't care about experience or whether they could actually help.

But some people might spam 50 or 25 messages in random places so they could apply

Yes but as a new member your "messages" Have to be approved? if I am correct. When you post you have to wait for someone to accept it. I presume in order for others to view it
