Skywars Rules Thread (unofficial)

Since Skywars.com now has some unique rules I decided to create a thread so you are all informed of the type of things we expect on the skywars server.

No Illegal Modifications
Illegal Modifications refer to the use of hacked clients, scripts/macros and any client side modification to your game that will give you an advantage in pvp. Modifications such as Optifine and 5zig are accepted.

Hacked Clients:
All hacked clients provide modifications which are illegal. Some of the common types of hacks used are:
-PVP hacks (eg. kill aura, aimbots, anti-knockback, fast bow)
-Movement hacks (eg. fly, glide, jetpack, high jump, no slowdown)
-Misc Hacks
Most of the modifications needed for an unfair advantage during combat comes from hacked clients. This is why playing on a hacked client, even with hacks off or you are only using fancy text or derp mode, it is still an offence.

Macros/Scripting and Other modifications: Using scripts and macros to gain an advantage is just as illegal as hacked clients. Examples include having a script that automatically does actions for you (auto feed you, replace your armour or gain your kit when your health is low, auto clickers) or a modification which allows you to track players.

Not following the rules on Modifications is a high level offence and can lead to a harsh punishment. Cheating does not make a fun environment for any player.

Chat Offences
The public chat is seen by all players who log in, and the in game chat is viewable by who you play with. There is a possibility that there are users under the age of 13. In the interest of keeping all Noobcrew servers family/child friendly we ask that the chat be used appropriately. The following are not permitted in our chat:
- Spamming: Spam is the act of sending messages to the chat repeatedly in a short space of time, encouraging people spam by asking them to type messages in chat (eg. Type 123 for 500 skybucks) or the overuse of numbers, letters and symbols. In short Spam stands for Stupid, Pointless, Annoying Messages. Posting random characters that mean nothing (eg. dslkmvijvoir9gjrieonbwpoeijg94jgnirk), counting down in chat one number at a time, or just repeating messages that are similar or the same are all forms of spam.
-Caps: Caps are what we refer to as all letters in their upper case form (THIS IS ALL CAPS). When chatting we ask that the overuse of caps be avoided. Less than half the message sent should be in caps.
-Swearing: We have a filter that catches cuss words. Any attempt to bypass this filter is prohibited. If you swear at players and the filter catches you there will also be consequences.
-Any inappropriate chat, racism, flaming/fighting and disrespect: Simply if you talk about sexually explicit/adult content, use racist terms, disrespect people and their religion or beliefs or cause and engage in arguments are all not permitted.

Advertising
Advertising is strictly prohibited on the server. There are a few types of advertising we do not allow:
-Server IP's: This includes any form of IP address related to a server which is not part of our network, or another Noobcrew owned server.
-Websites of another server: Just as much as IP's of other servers are not permitted you cannot advertise the websites of other servers either.
-Links to malicious/suspicious websites: This is any website that could cause harm to a person if they visit it (eg. free capes, free gift codes)
-Links to adult content: Any website that contains adult material or any sexually explicit content.

All advertising will result in a permanent ban.

Scamming
Scamming people on this server is not permitted. Scamming is a tactic where a person promise goods and service for someone else's goods or service but they do not fulfil their end, not pay and gain/profit from it.

You must always fulfil your end of the trade and not take any goods and services without the proper payment.

Another type of scamming is to do with donations. A chargeback is where players donate and receive their rank and its perks, however, take back their money. This causes the server to lose money but means you would have gained a rank. All chargebacks result in a permanent ban off the server until the service they used is paid back.

DDOS/DOXing/Blackmail and Threats
There are some players who will attempt to cause harm on the server through DDOS/DOXing and other threats.
-DDOS: The term stands for Distributed Denial of Service. In our gaming community this is best known by restricting people's use of their internet by flooding it with packets or causing people to not be able to access the server (by crashing it, using bots etc).
-DOXing: Doxing came from the term "to document". This is the act of searching up players personal details and compiling them into a "document" which can be used for blackmail and other malicious activities.
-Blackmail: This refers to players threatening a player to force them into doing acts they will not usually do or have disagreed to. For example, threatening a player to give them all their skybucks or they will be DDOS'd or telling someone to give you access to their account because Noobcrew will ban you if you don't and things like leaking personal information for access to information.
-Harassment: any behaviour towards anyone which causes them distress, disturbance and upset and is repetitive is a form of harassment and is not tolerated.

All these acts are not permitted and are high level offences.

Ban Evading
While using multiple accounts is permitted, once you are banned, you are not allowed to access the server through any account you may have until you are unbanned.

Glitch Abusing
Server bugs can occur at any time. If you find one you should report it straight away. Abusing any bug or glitch to gain an advantage can earn you kicks from games and even tempbans depending on its severity.

Inappropriate Skins and Names
Fitting in with the family friendly nature of the server any skins and names that are not appropriate will not be allowed. If your name is not appropriate you lose the ability to chat in global until its changed. If your skin is not appropriate you will be temp banned with ample time to change it.

Unlike hacked clients, we allow mods that don't give advantage. So mostly visual and performance based mods are permitted. Modifications which give advantage in pvp are a no go. I will attempt to make a separate thread of common accepted mods.
