    The most common way to avoid scamming: take screenshots of every step of the trade.
    • If you do need to use these screenshots, this is my guide to upload them: posting | Skyblock Forums.
    • This will ensure you have proof that there was a trade.
    • You should also msg the person confirming the trade, as this will not only give you a chance to screenshot the agreement but also make sure there were no misunderstandings.
    If you are scammed but you have no screenshots, there is not much the mods can do but I would report to them anyway. Most often the scammer leaves after the trade, so remember their username so that if you have screenshots, you can report them later.
    If you do not have screenshots and there are no mods on, there is nothing you can do.
    If you are trading valuable items, like spawners or untextured block, I recommend having a mod watch the trade. Make sure both parties agree, and then there will be very little chance you will get scammed, and if you do get scammed, a mod will know.
    If you do have screenshots and there is no mod on, come to the forums:
    • Click on rules
    • click report for the server you were on
    • Click post new thread
    • title it with what happened, and select the prefix.
    • Then give a short summary of what happened, and use the guide I mentioned to upload your screenshots. Then a mod will take care of it. If you report someone with no proof, nothing can be done so make sure to take screenshots by pressing F2.
    If you have any questions, msg me in-game, comment here, or PM me.

    I think you can improve on the guide by breaking up the information so it looks neat and can be easily followed. Use bullet points and break up paragraphs, use titles etc.

    Adding on to what Krissy is saying, it could look something like this:

    How to avoid scams:
    One way to avoid getting scammed by another player is taking screenshots of the trade details, and confirmations of each person agreeing to the trade, then screenshotting you giving the item/s or the money you promised on your end. If they don't comply and give you promised items, you can go to your .minecraft folder, then into your screenshots folder, where you can copy your screenshot and paste it here;
    Imgur: The most awesome images on the Internet
    You can then go to this section;
    Server Reports | Skyblock Forums
    And click the server in which you got scammed on, then you paste the link to your screenshots after you've clicked 'Post New Thread' then fill out all required details, and wait for your items to be returned.

    Without sufficient evidence though, you will not be able to get a refund, nor the player banned, so be sure to take detailed screenshots of each step of the trade.

    Also note that player witnesses will not be included as evidence of the trade happening/being confirmed, although the scammer admitting they did scam can be used as evidence.

    Alternatively, you can ask a moderator currently online to monitor the trade after both parties agree, and there's a very high chance that you won't get scammed and the scammer will get banned.

    Just an idea :D
