How to find out what post number / page of a thread a post is

I don't see many reasons to do this, but eh, I figured if you get bored, you can simply just check this for fun.
Here's how it works:
If you get an alert about a post (This is how I usually do it, probably other ways to do it though), you click on that alert, and it takes you to the post, right? Right. Then, look at the browser search box (Always at the top, no matter what browser), and check the URL. At the end of the URL, it should say something along the lines of "post=X" That X variable is the number of the post on the forums. By number, I mean.. Well, here's an example. If it says "post=102745#" then it would mean that that is the one hundred thousand, seven hundred and forty-fifth post made on the forums. The only reason this would be wrong would be if the forums were completely reset, in which it most likely would say a very low number, like 210. Finding the page number of a post (although you can simply scroll to the top and look for the orange box with the number in it) is basically the same. In the URL, it should say "page=Y" too, with Y being the page number. I have no idea why you'd need to use this, but if you do, there you go. Enjoy..?
