The "dumb" rating was removed for a reason.

 

Sometimes a post is dumb (and I only rate it if it's REALLY dumb) but I have to dislike it. Meh, 63.3333333336 percent support.

I am neutral on this.

 

Dumb was removed because people got butthurt, the same would happen again and it'll just be removed again so nah

I am sure it got removed for a reason. People probably complained and didn't like it because it hurt their feelings.

Here's why:

Some people get hurt inside by this rating. If I were to say 'follow meh cause i awesome' and you rate it dumb, don't you think I would feel hurt inside?

Dumb ratings make the player who has received it feel dumb. They could stress out, quit, or even give hat back to you and to others.

Therefore, the dumb rating should not return.

 

Don't bring it back! It can hurt people. I agree with everything that Agent said. It is a child-friendly game so we need to respect that and not be mean to each other with that dumb rating.

 

Oh I've been needing this for a few posts. Nothing fits more accurate for certain things than the Dumb rating.

Not quite how hurting someone works.

Those who are so incredibly damaged and "hurt" by a dumb rating -- that keep in mind is even neutral instead of negative,

 

I mean come on, let's be honest here. Whether or not you realize it, most of the things that people say are, from your point of view, dumb. You're not alone, and people will use that excuse to abuse the rating yet again.

So, no. Definitely not.

Unless you struggle with NPD or depression, I don't expect you to understand how X person cares about the whole crowd thinking of what X person is viewed as.

 

I'd rate this post as "Dumb" if I could.

I don't expect you to understand, however, personally I enjoy a world of choice, options, or freedom, if you will. Not a particular fan of having to compensate for everyone else having an issue with small things such as this (and the Steam mobile authentication -- seriously a ridiculous handicap due to kids not knowing about viruses).
Again, regarding the serious potential abuse of the neutral rating "Dumb," dumb is opinion-based. Disagree, Rude, and Dislike are opinion-based as well, two of which are negative ratings (Probably much more "hurtful," imo). That being said what stops these from being abused? I mean I could find an offense in anything and rate it rude, or go around disliking every suggestion thread/mod thread/sale thread.
