I was scrolling through mod apps and it seems in the past language could help you become a mod but no one has a chance to openly speak other languages. I'm sorry to everyone but I don't think this may go anywhere as cyp and tanner have other things to worry about, but I feel like If we have a chat for different languages, then possibly the other language people could feel more included in the skyblock community. Also, others could train their foreign languages skills and the double language would become again another way for mods to increase their chances of being accepted. Keep notice, I have no bias in that as in I don't speak any other language worth anything. Please just support or atleast let cyp know people want this (if you do of course).
True, but I feel people that speak other languages don't feel like they can say anything in chat I can't speak for people because it's a whim
I see possibly more people involved in the skyblock community and therefore more friends for everyone. Noobcrew will enjoy increased donation rate from more people enjoying skyblock.
I mean like, it's not one of those servers where you can only speak english in public chat, Lemonade.
The 2nd most widely-spoken language on the Internet is German, and I wouldn't mind seeing another German section. However, there are only a few mods that actually somewhat speak it, and that's not a great way to start up another section. Neutral
Sorry no support. Skyblock is primarily an English speaking server. This is why we have the main chat set up as such. When people start speaking another language when they can speak English it is harder to moderate chat. And put it this way: we say that we want a g-rated chat because of the kids. Now what happens if someone thinks its a great idea to start cussing in another language, and a child playing who understands it picks it up? Not all mods can speak fluently in another language and cannot moderate a chat with different languages. There are other ways of talking to others without needing a whole new chat. Simply we encourage English as the main language however if someone cannot speak it well they are free to use their own language.
*cough* I speak german fluently *cough* I don't want to be mod though Too much pressure EDIT: Oh and add chinese too Still working on my french
Hmm i have to say no to that :/ If you inplement a language chat (e.g. German) the net server will split. People already made 2 groups. Net and org. Most of them dislike each other for ... very little reasons. Imagine a chat for worldwide difference where you start to hate other language people. They start to say "Die Amis sind so unfreundlich und beleidigen alle immer" and the americans/austalians/englands(um.. i think that's how ppl from england are called) say "stupid germans are always acting like nazis (i hate if people say such things, because for most people it's just not true)
But no one does, and people that don't speak English don't feel welcome in global chat. I've never seen two Spanish people talking, but I know there are some players from other languages.
I don't know...Because I think people cannot type certain languages into the chat without using copy and paste.
No support, if there were even just 10 languages going around chat, tons of people either wouldn't understand or the spam would be to real. Sometimes its best to just stay quiet.
