Denied [VexusWantsKFC] Illegal trading [Lycel]

It was on the 4th of march 2018 when silly old me decided it would be a good idea to sell dirt.. it was because I had nothing and I wanted to get a quick start... I am very sorry for my mistake, instead of selling dirt next time I will think of something a bit more smarter that (WILL NOT) get me banned to progress in the game instead of doing something NOT accepted on the server that will get me banned. Sorry for my mistake.

While I appreciate your heartfelt confession, you willingly broke rules. Your conversations showed that not only were you aware of the rule against trading dirt from the very beginning but that even after me explicitly warning you (not a punishment mind you, a heartfelt "don't do this or you'll be banned, even if you think you're safe from mods" kind of warning) against trading dirt not 5 minutes before you were banned, you still decided to break the rules. Multiple players had called you out in chat, and you denied their accusations. For such a purposeful defiance of rules, a short 5-day ban isn't really so bad.

Also, your first statement confuses me slightly. You say you starting trading dirt on the 4th, which was 46 days ago, for a quick start. Surely, after a months and a half, you would no longer be just starting...? Unless I've read the logs incorrectly, you've traded about 137 dirt. The fact that you have been knowingly trading dirt for so long without remorse doesn't make me think you're all that likely to stop if I were to unban you straight away.

I'm happy to hear your comments, but I personally think that 5 days is a perfectly reasonable amount of time. In that time, you could pick up a musical instrument, or spend some time to improve your grades if you're studying. I'll be looking forward to seeing you return once the working week is up.

What on earth was this quote referring to if you've never sold dirt before?

137 is the number of dirt blocks you've placed in chests. I can't verify that this is the amount you've traded, but I have no motive to make things up that aren't true. Please understand that I'm trying my best to be fair, both to you and to the players who haven't traded dirt who you have been given an unfair advantage over.

 

Excuse me putting dirt in my islands chest counts to that? wtf this is an outrage

 

I think banning me for 5 days is far to long the longest period of time would tops be two days for this -edited- research. I had never sold dirt before today..

You are honestly confusing me here. Again, I'm just looking for clarity. I am not attacking you, so please calm down. You said in your first post that you sold dirt from the 4th of March, and so, from your own words and from the fact you were literally seconds away from trading 32 dirt with another player, it certainly seems as if you have traded illegally.

Illegal trading is typically a 7-day ban, so I'm being incredibly kind to you by reducing it to 5 days.

If you do not take this appeal seriously and start responding rationally, I will deny your appeal. I'm absolutely happy to have a reasoned discussion with you regarding your punishment, which is why I didn't close this appeal immediately, but only if you answer my questions and remain calm.

I was more referring to the swearing and you calling it an 'outrage'.
So, if you were only referring today, you still state that you illegally traded. Given the usual ban for this is 7 days, 5 days is perfectly reasonable, considering you knew the rule and were warned minutes prior to the incident. My decision stands, unless you have further reasoning.
