Introduction: Hi, Im StrawHatPiratess, currently in grade 9 going to 10 grade soon and I am a normal player on skyblock.net. I have been playing skyblock.net for a quite a while now and I am asking that you accept me as a trial moderator for your server (Sorry if my information says that I am 23 but I was scared to put out my real information when I first joined the forum. Your in-game name: My In-game name is StrawHatPiratess Which timezone are you in? The time zone that I am in is Eastern Time Zone, Canada Which languages do you speak? The languages that I speak are English and Cantonese Have you ever been banned? (if yes, why?) Yes I have been banned a total of 3 times. 2 of the ban was for people who chargeback on me when I gave them diamond to upgrade me. The 3rd time was when I was just joking around saying '' I am going to use my diamond pickaxe all over your island'' and the person reported me and I got banned. I think that is it. Why do you think you should be a moderator? I should be a moderator because I am mature, helpful, responsible, honest, friendly, caring, listening, patient. I will help players and continue to help without the moderator position. I have seen a lot of players swearing, selling/trading illegal items, scammed, and advertising! I want to ban or kick them but I cannot. When I see moderators on, they usually just say ''Watch your language and no selling/trading illegal item'' to the people that are breaking the rules. But they have to let the players know the rules because they are obviously not going to listen to the what the moderators say so that means the players are going to do the same thing over and over again. When people get scammed, I always see them panic and starts spamming ''I need help MOD'' and when they don't get help since there are no moderators on during that time, they spam the chat like crazy so I whisper them and ask if they traded in a chest and also to tell them to calm down and a moderator will come and help them soon. I also see lots of players advertise and there was no moderators on during that time. It was so annoying when there was different players spamming the same server ip until the whole chat was covered in their server's ip and there was no moderators on to ban them. I log on to the forum's daily as it is part of the job for a moderator. I know that being a moderator is not all about banning. It is also telling the new player/players that have broken the rule to know the rule and to not break it again in other words educating them and making sure they are having a good time so that they don't leave the server and become a long time player. I would never abuse the power of mod privileges for bad things. I am not looking to be popular or have a fancy title. I am very happy to spend my time to be helpful to the server, caring, and a moderator that is looking to stop trouble and not help continue with it. I need to educate them! I know that being active on the server is very important. CypriotMerks, I always see you on when I am on. And I will be active when taking on the moderator job and not be inactive often other then school because it is summer right now Observant: I am looking for people that are doing the wrong thing to tell them to stop and people who need help so that they do not spam the whole chat and make everything worse. Generous: When I see people who needs help because they lost their starter item, I will give them the materials it cost to craft it so that they don't start to get mad and spam the chat. Listening: I take my time to listen to their story and what happen so that I don't just go in and try to fix the problem and just mess up really badly. Honesty: If I do something wrong, I will not blame someone else and I don't lie. I have brought my flint and steel to someones island before and accidentally dropped it and they picked it up. I asked them to give it back to me and they did. I like him very much because he was honest. I am pretty sure people would like to be treated the same way I am being treated then someone dropped 33 Diamonds and I gave it back to him because it wasn't mine. Caring and understanding: I never favor people or even be bias to donors. I like it to be fair to those who do the right thing to be treated well and those who don't to be punished. I don't care if you are a donor or not. I will listen. I have whispered full moderators before and they have ignored me. The next thing I see is a skygod in all chat is talking to the moderator respond's to the skygod. (This is a story) What if the moderator that ignored me was just a new player and didn't know what to do? He would ask a moderator to help him but what if the moderator ignored him like what the moderator did to me. He would never be on this server again. Patience: I will help players and never sound like I am mad or annoyed. I have seen moderators that have been annoyed and they show it. They say ''I am done'' and then they just log off. Responsibility: I know that the huge responsibility moderators are given. I will be able to keep up with moderating in games and on forums. Kindness and respectful: I am kind to everyone who can show the same kind of respect. I will give items to people that are in need of material. I am respectful to all players and also respectful to what the moderators are doing. Helpful: I help new players that need their island expanded and rule breakers that so that they don't do the same mistake. Trustworthy: I follow the rules and never break it. People have dropped rares to me and I have given it back to them. During a situation or problem, you can trust me to do the right thing and work hard to fix it. Friendly: When people message me, I message then back and when more then 1 person message me, I always ask the other person to wait a moment and I get back with them as soon as possible and they are very patient. I never make people feel sad such as calling them bad names because I am pretty sure that I wouldn't like to be called names too. Mature: Just because people are 18 years old and are adults doesn't make them mature. My brother is 19 years old now and he is really annoying. He is very annoying because when he has nothing to do, he is bothering me but now he has changed a bit and it is better. How long can you be active on the server every day?
