Stop Nick Abuse

    My simple suggestion is that when you hover your cursor over nickname in chat, you are shown the player's real IGN. This stops nick abuse as people won't risk getting banned when they will easily get caught.

    Do you know a plug in that would be able to do this? I've never seen it on any server before.

    I don't but I do believe it is possible as I have seen plugins that when you hover over something you see text.

    One way of removing nick abuse is by removing "/nick" altogether, but that won't happen.
    Support, it's a custom plugin that cyp could easily make.

    However we have /realname <Playername>

    The only difference is that /realname only shows you current players with that nickname. This would show you who actually posted the message.

    there are plugins that do this, they are also extremely easy to code. might as well add in the rank and coop they are in.

    It would be really handy just in general and also help prevent nick abuse.
