I think you meant conversations? xD
Well conversations does have a point, but it still doesn't create a huge problem.

Yes xD. It's like 12:20 am and I'm tired as hell, sorry cx
It's kinda helpful in certain situations that cannot be resolved in a thread.

Over 30 people as moderators, yet you single one person out. Tbh there's lots of staff, and whoever locked their profile and pms had a reason. I think staff should be allowed to lock one or the other tbh, if I still support.

I think I know who you're talking about, however it was a couple weeks ago when there were multiple mods who did this, so no, I am not singling anyone out or pointing any fingers.
Yes, I agree that mods should be able to lock Profile posting for a small amount of time (Ex. 3-10 days). But maybe not so much Convos.

no you aren't... What's the point of a mod even being on the forums if no one can contact them? They might as well not have permissions on the forums then.

There is something called the "Report section". Also as I said, there are so many other Mods that someone could contact. If we weren't supposed to lock our profiles and conversations, then why do we have permission to? Mods are literally players too.

Alright then, want to be technical and smart about this? I can do the same.
Yes there is a report section, but let's say I have a question about being kicked from the server and want to ask the mod that kicked me about it? I can't make a convo with them, I can't post on their profile about it, if I make a public thread a bunch of people will shame me about making a thread just trying to bring "hate" to a mod, and if I make a report half the staff is going to complain that I made a report for a petty kick, and I "should have just solved it through pm" and then we go full circle.
Are you serious? That's your logic in this? Well I mean you have permission to ban anyone in game and on the forums but you aren't supposed to, so why do you even have the permission then. You know the permissions on here are far from perfect. The moderator ranks permissions on these forums are especially screwy for some reason.

Plus, mods are going to get hate from people (it's part of the job...). Moderators should be able to just brush off and ignore the hate, otherwise why are they a mod?
And, I never said that mods aren't "literally players too". You said that they were normal players. They are anything but normal players. Yes, they are still playing the game so technically they are players but mods have so much more responsibility than a normal player.

As I said.. Many times I've been PMed to ask another Mod to open a conv with that specific person. Now, I don't have a problem with this suggestion, just the profile part.

Profiles are profiles. Some Mods don't want certain people writing on their profiles.

Right so, I don't see why Mods have to keep their profiles open. Having PM's open does have a point, but profiles, I really don't see why.

Also this is literally getting nowhere, as I only gave out my opinion. This is obviously going to turn into some type of argument, so I'm not continuing this.. You can PM me if you want, it's open.

Support, Some of the mods are saying that like its their privacy and stuff but like they signed up for this. If they have that big of a problem with it then why don't they resign. Profiles are to maybe ask questions or something, and thats needed. I don't think mods should be allowed to block people/ ignore them because if the person was really that bad why aren't they forum banned or whatever.

I had a moderator in-game a few months ago tell me to PM them on forums, well.. I tried and their profile was locked, and they had conversations disabled. GG.

Support. I believe that all members should always be allowed to converse with mods in pm.

this is annoying, say if the only staff on forums has their profile locked and doesn't accept private messages, but something is urgent?
you could restrict who can comment on your profile, making it so most members can only view your profile and start conversations with you.

and what if that mod banned you or something, and you want to discuss it in PM? nope I guess you can't :/

Support, players need to have a way to at least contact a moderator. Maybe just conversations open at the least.

The thing is, staff's excuse for locking their profile is that they get harassed.

But if you're being harassed, you punish the person who harassed you, not the people trying to contact you. If it's not ban worthy, you're being too sensitive. If there are too many people legitimately having problems with you, you should look at what you're doing wrong to provoke them.

Staff are here to help people. If people aren't able to ask you for help, you're not doing your job. Having other moderators isn't an excuse. If I had to ask a specific person about a specific decision, I should have the right to.

I've already supported, but I wanted to point that out.

No support. Sometimes it is necessary to lock your profile. You can always mention them in a comment on your profile asking for help or asking them to start a conversation with you over something important.
