Spawner help

Anyone care to explain this monster spawner to me a little more in depth?
such as can i place and replace it using silk touch?
Obviously this is kind of a nooby question
Any other general advice on spawners would be great thanks in advance

 

I'm not sure if this is the right forum to post this in.

But anyway, no, you can't pick up a spawner once it's been placed, not even with silk touch.

Also, Slimes can only be spawned in a "slime chunk" even with a spawner... so you have to be careful of placement if you want slimes.

Other than that, I'm not sure which server you play on. I'm only really on org, and I know that on org you can only spawn certain mobs.

That's pretty much it for my knowledge. Hope it helped a little.

The plugin for Silk touch was taken out because of griefers stealing spawners at warps.

Zombies will not spawn since they can be used to farm iron.

Also Mods can pick up Spawners if you ask them.

 

Mods can remove spawners for you, and donors can change spawner type.
