intro: hello, my in-game name is xxxmentiexxx. I am playng on skyblock.org already for about 3-4 years now i think. I am a boy and 18 years old now and my hobby's are: most of all gaming , soccer, doing things with some friends, ... I am writing this application because it is always cool when you can help people in the server by answering their questions, having a nice chat, helping them finishing a build, ... I like playing on this server mostly in the evening (7 pm - 11 pm CET) because then I have nothing to do (mostly). I always try to do my best to answer peoples questions on the server, or helping them out when they need it. well, here is my mod application Your in-game name: xxxmentiexxx How old are you? 18 years old now What timezone are you in? I speak Dutch (main language), English, some French and use google translate when needed Have you ever been banned? (if yes, why?) Yes, i have been banned sadly enough. I have been banned for island farming when i was new to the server. I was running short on dirt and i needed more. I didn't read any rules and i thought this was allowed, so I farmed some dirt.I'm having alot of fun on the server and like I said before it's fun when you can help people out. When i got banned they recommended me to read the rules and i wrote an appeal for unbanning me. after a while they unbanned me and since then I had way more fun on the server because it's more fun when you make your own monney and buy your items legal in shop or from other people. I also got banned another time for a missunderstanding. I was trading a spawner and the other person already paid the monney. I said i was going to get the spawner because it was still in a chest. Then he called a mod and i didn't had any time to explain what happened. Then i saw: you have been banned for scamming by ... After explaining in a thread they unbanned me and i refunded the person again. (both bans where before the reset). Why do you think you should be a mod? I like playing on this server and like I said before it's fun when you can help people out by answering questions or help them out when they have a problem. I also try to keep people on the straight path, so they won't make the mistakes I made or other mistakes. Skyblock is a great community and you know almost everyone on the server, what makes playing on here even more fun. I try to play as much as I can in the evening and somethimes I am also active during the day (in vacations). Another reason why i want to be a mod is because when I am playing, their are hardly mods online. There are some on the forums, but when we need them it is hard to get them on the server. I even think we need more mods on the server i have to say. I see alot people calling for mods, but they are hardly online. I have never been a mod on any server, but i think it will be a challenge for me. I'll try to my best helping people out and be active as much as i can. I'm already doing my best now to help people out, but new players are somethimes shy. They trust more in mods, but they don't know donors, highrollers, .. can also help them out. Some of them ask help in all chat but a part of them doesn't. I know it's alot more then helping people out. You also have to be active on forums and watch report files, appeals, ... But I think this will work out for me. (I just fixed this webbrowser, because my antivirus wouldn't allow it). If I would be a mod people would ask more for help and i will help them with pleasure. I follow the rules, and know what is allowed and what is not. Sometimes you have to warn people for offensive language, illegal trades, ... But I am warning them so a ban won't follow and they can enjoy playing on skyblock. I don't know all commands from a moderator because i haven't got any experience with it, but if i would become a Tmod I will be allowed to help people even more. I could improve my way of helping people alot more and help the community out ! I wish I could help as much people as I could because helping people out is just a strange feeling. It gives you mood at doing your best and not letting any people down. Becoming a Tmod would be a challenge and I could improve my helping skills even more because you will be able to help people in hard situations where noone can help. What qualifications do you have? - Helping: I'm playing on this server already for a while, and there is always someone who's looking for help. Beforetime as a greenbean, all I was caring about was monney, but with playing on the server u get to know people and have a nice chat wit them. Then I realized this server wasn't all about monney. It's just a great community and helping each other creates more trust and it feels good. - Active: I try to be active as much as possible in the evening (7 pm - 11 pm CET). during vacations I'm more online, but can't be online 24/24 because I also have another part of my life. - trying my best: I am trying to do my best to help the community out. When I have anything in my mind, I would to not give up on it. Just like I will do my best on this moderator application - not giving up quickly: When someone needs help, for example with a stone generator that doesn't work, I try to do my best to figure out the problem and I even use Google/internet to find out the problem ( in this example the redstone circuit) - chatting: Having a nice chat with people feels good and it is really fun. You get to know each other more and you can make some jokes in the chat. I am not a fast typer, but I try to chat as fast as I can to answer other questions. - Kind: I try to follow the rules as much as I can, but somethimes I even learn some new things about the server. I won't talk rudely in the chat and I try to calm down people who are mad at each other and yelling in chat. I try to help them out and try to i nvestigate what is going on. - Responsible: When I make a mistake by not following the rules, like auctioning an illegal item I didn't know, I take my responsibility and admit i was wrong, I won't make any trouble about anything because lying never helps. I always recommend people to /untrust me or another person when they build something together so they won't get scammed or something. I think these are my best quallifications, can't think of any other, maybe other persons can help me remember some. How long can you be active on the server everyday? I can't say precisely how much I play, but at least 2 hours/day. I always check out my island if my coops had anything to say and have a chat with the people. In the vacations this will usually be more because I have alot of time then. This is just an estimate of me playing on the server: school days: all days about 1-2 hours after i had dinner at 7 pm (CET) vacations: usually I play in the afternoon about 1-2 hours and 1-3 hours in the evening How long have you been playing skyblock.org? I am not sure how long I have been playing, but I think I'm already playing from 2009, thats about 4 years. This is my only server I play on, but somethimes people ask to go play on another server with them and play with them. Do you have any past experience as a moderator? Yes, but help without asking . Like, if someone says "I need a mod" but there aren't any on, you can help them. If there are spammers of people using excessive caps, tell them to stop. Just like that. 50 percent support, this may change later.
