Old Spawners?

Back when you could pick spawners up with silk touch, when you would pick it up the spawner would have a purple lore stating what mob was currently selected. Now, when a mo picks up your spawner, they give you a normal, no-lore spawner.
Any idea what the old spawners are worth? Or are they not worth anything more? Seems like it would be a rare item because they are unobtainble anymore.

They are probably worth more, somehow (The rare thing), though they do the same thing. If only I had the four blaze spawners (Already would be worth something, since blaze are now gone) I picked up with silk touch.

I got a witch one for about the same price, so I don't know if they're worth much anymore.

Not worth that much, some mods still give those spawners when you get them picked up.

nope we lose the spawner, thats why we give a new one out, which explains why it's pig.

This is done so the server logs everyone the mines a spawner, so no one can get away

 

So moderators do not give these out to players?

 

Even if the spawner says blaze spawner it will still spawn pigs when its placed.

 

I see. My question is is the spawner worth more because it has a lore? Not what the spawner actually spawns.

 

It has no added value to the spawner so I wouldn't pay anymore then what the spawner is worth its self. Thats just my opinion tho.
