So, if you've visited CypriotMerkz's island recently on .net you will notice it had been changed. Before it was the airplane at /warp airplane. Now it is a spawn map. According to SuperSpeed42 the old spawn is being changed. The server has had the old spawn since 2012 and it has never had a major change (other than the lava being changed to water). You will also notice /warp airplane has been deleted as well. If you disagree with the possible spawn change, make sure to make as much noise as you can about this and protest to the admins against the spawn change.
Even if they were gonna change the spawn, they could at least have /warp oldspawn for the nostalgia. I think a lot of people would miss the old spawn and this would be a good addition. Anyway, its not even 100% confirmed that the spawn is being changed yet. Just enjoy the old spawn while/if it lasts.
It's just theoretical, but it will more than likely be the new spawn. The warp die warp could be the current spawn though
I haven't played on here for too long (a bit over half a year now) but I can say the current spawn we have has brought me unforgettable memories, so what I would suggest doing is either keep the spawn at /warp oldspawn or some other warp, but the new spawn sure looks great and fresh.
Warp die is too small and people will be killed if they are in 1.9 due to 1.8 players pushing them off Lemonade
I think the new spawn looks great, and it would be a nice change. However, I do agree that having something like /warp oldspawn would be nice too.
Sometimes change is good. I like the new spawn, I love it actually. Yeah, the old spawn is nostalgic; but it's time for a change.
As well as /warp oldspawn, another option is to give players the option to choose which spawn they go to when they do /spawn. The new spawn would be the default spawn, but if someone wanted to change their spawn they could just do /changespawn oldspawn or something.
Honestly I think that would cause nothing but confusion. My suggestion is to have the same spawn for everyone, whether they want or not, because as mentioned several times above, change is good and indeed the new spawn looks great. I think another warp for it would be the best option (my opinion)
If you look at the current spawn barely anyone is at it. I think the size is fine. The only time I can see the spawn being crowded is vote party time or if Cyp hangs around spawn. To those who decided to rate people that like the spawn disagree.. Cyp did a great job at putting this all together for the server and just because the old spawn design has been used for years doesn't mean it is bad to move on. Half of the people who dislike the spawn wont be using it regularly enough. But I find that if you are concerned about having a new spawn, think about who is changing it. Someone who is almost as equally as old a player. Im not sure why there is this fear of this change, or whether people are rejecting it to be cool but honestly this is not 2012, this isn't the good old days and it will never be. But at least we have the memories and more to make with a new spawn.
