Judging and responding to moderator applications is a practice common in our forums community. Active users critique potential applicants and give staff insight on the player. However sometimes applications can get out of hand quickly with fights, lengthy discussions and arguments. The following addresses simple ways to conduct yourself on moderator applications. Only post one message on an application: One message is all that you need to assess an applicant. If the applicant wants to discuss it further it is best to do so in private and if the player becomes defensive just edit your original post, using your experience as feedback. Don't post "you don't meet the requirements" as feedback: Report the application using the report button under the first post and staff will handle it. Do not "expose" people: This causes more arguments. You may let us know that someone has done something wrong, lied or plagiarized however it should go right with your feedback and not separate posts. No need to discuss it either unless it is done in private to avoid flaming. Only critique what is relevant to moderating: There are constant talks of font, colour and grammar as the main critiques. What matters is if the player is capable of moderating. Things you could talk about when you critique include: Activity (forums and server) Maturity Experience Past offences Behaviour and conduct Helpfulness and consistency Pros + Cons + improvements Avoid bias: This means your assessment needs to be as unbiased as you can make it. No one is perfect and even your closest, dearest friend will need improvements. Don't no support your enemy or someone you dislike straight away without considering the fact they might make a decent staff member. Avoid one sentence critiques: You might as well just rate the first post and be done with it. Be respectful at all times and follow the forum rules: No rates abuse, derailing, flaming etc. As usual punishments for breaking rules may occur. This is a perspective based on a few years of moderating moderator applications and from critiquing applications more carefully. Excludes satirical reviews by Myrm.
Thanks for the 111/10 meme but I mean isn't what Krissy is saying common sense? or its already stated in other threads such as: Supporting Applications - How to judge an applicant? | Skyblock Forums so sure Krissy might be the best or deserve thanks but it's out there already xd

Yeah and if you hadn't realised we came to an agreement so what's the point of bringing that up lmfao People obviously don't read that thread so I'm re-bringing it up. Common sense isn't all that common these days ya know.
