Mod applications

    On the mod applications page there is always lots of new members making mod apps and I feel sorry for them because they don't get support because they are too new to the forums and only learn this after they have made their mod app. I also feel like people are very repetitive because they are always saying "no support, too new etc". So I thought if that the only way to make a mod app or post a thread on the mod applications page is that you would need 25 trophy points, or a certain amount or messages (to show some experience of the website). Or be upgraded to "member" from "new member". Thanks for reading my suggestion :>.

    Maybe. A few people have gotten mod when making an application within the first few days.

    Okay, but many people don't and you need experience on the forums as well as the server to moderate, idk :p

    Perhaps, but we get members who join the forums just to make a mod application, myself included. To do this might discourage those players and they might not want to continue with the community. Neutral

    No support.
    Some players who are capable mods may not have joined the forums straight away but did for an app. Most people who do create apps just to apply for mod generally do not use the forums after than and the app dies anyway. Just because they gain a certain about of points doesn't mean they will get any better feedback than if they made one when they just joined.
    Its fine as it is.

    Anyhow, support. I don't like having to say "too new" to a new player, but it is necessary to guarantee that our mods are knowledgeable of the server that they're playing on.

    I wasn't a new member when I had made my mod application though. I had been playing org for about a year and I knew the server, the rules and the people pretty well.
